I think it’s safe to say Freeman has played a huge part in helping the Dodgers win games this series. During the Padres/Mets series when he was benched unable to help the team, he’d just stare at the dugout post like a madman. He’s been revving to go at 100% this whole postseason. Add his three home runs, the top of the lineup staying consistent, and the bottom of the lineup stepping up when they need runs; the Dodgers offense is looking incredible. Edit: Not to mention the Dodgers have won two critical games against the Padres and the Mets during bullpen games before, so if the Yankees struggle to get a quick grasp of our guys going 20-30 pitches, then that’s Dodger baseball.

I know the Yankees had a great regular season, but when you looked at this team at the start of the season and even going into the playoffs, I don’t think this is a surprising result given how the Yankees are constructed. The Yankees have a decent but not spectacular starting pitching rotation, their bullpen is good but that’s been a more recent development and the lineup has big names at the top but are a top heavy lineup. Teams like the Dodgers this year and Rangers last year just have the ability to fuck you up in any inning with the depth of their lineups in a way that a team like the Yankees can’t deal with. So when the Yankees blew game 1 it’s not a surprise to me that they’re in this position. The Yankees had to steal momentum early and put doubt in the Dodgers mind and they had the perfect opportunity to do that and they blew it. When your starters have to face this balanced and deep of a lineup and your big dog isn’t hitting, it’s just going to be tough road and add the Dodgers starters hitting their stride and bad defense to that equation and you get a 3-0 series lead.

Dodgers fan here, since 2007. Never have I seen the dodgers like this in the post season I have watched every postseason game Their offense is RIDICULOUS vs the padres and vs the Mets The dodgers are easily handling the Yankees, and that’s with them scoring noticeably less runs in these first 3 games vs the Yankees. In other words dodgers bats somewhat cooled off - and they’re still gonna beat the yanks!

I was so mad when they sent Stanton, he’s one of the slowest players in the MLB and you send him ON THAT?! Wtf is that 3rd base coach thinking?? Yankees need some new coaches if they ever want to win a championship, there’s no fire in any of them. They need to quit thinking long ball and start playing some small ball and do some jobs out there. They leave way too many players in scoring position with less than 2 outs because they’re all going for the fences so they either pop out or strike out. It’s ridiculous, they’re looking like a AA team out there

Volpe looks lost out there and like he's going to cry every at bat, not sure what at bats your seeing from him. I'm reminded of the XKCD comic: "A weighted random number generator just produced a new batch of numbers. Let's use them to build narratives!" I would hope that nobody thinks the Yankees have stopped trying at this point or that fortitude can help you hit a pitch better. Three games isn't enough to even constitute a slump. Randomness happens and baseball is more subject to it than most sports.

If you would've told me last Wednesday or Thursday that the Yankees would hold the Dodgers to 6, 4 and 4 runs in the first 3 games of this series I'd have signed up for that because of how prolific the Dodgers offense was in the NLDS and NLCS and I knew our hitting was suspect due to its performance in the ALDS and ALCS, but I never thought it'd be this anemic with getting 1 run and 1 hit through 8 innings in Game 2 and 0 runs and 4 hits through eight innings last night. U can't keep waiting to the 9th inning to start hitting/rallying and expect to win, maybe in 1 or even 2 games, but not 4 games waiting for the 9th inning to finally get it together all the time
