In this video we're trying another tune from The Yardbirds. It's really interesting that this band spawned so many other bands, and likely influenced so many more. We're excited to be learning more about them. Enjoy!

Thanks for reacting. As a very young lad I had a brother 5 years older than I who introduced me to this band. I couldn't believe how cool Keith Relf was. Still one one my favorite lead vocalists of all time. Unfortunate he left us way way way too soon. Try "Over, Under, Sideways, Down" from this band for some really good Jeff Beck licks. It's a song that defines the vibe of Psych. Rock from this period. For another defining song (sound) from this period try Jefferson Airplanes "She Has Funny Cars" off the Surrealistic Pillow Album. The lyrics are about vocalist Marty Balin's materialistic girlfriend at the time. Marty Balin and Grace Slick do a nice job vocalizing on that one. I like your reactions, keep em' coming.

This video is a little confusing, so I'll try to help. The audio was recorded and released in 1965. The video is from after Jeff Beck left the band in 1966. The singers name is Keith Relf. Jimmy Page joined the band on bass and graduated to lead guitar when Jeff left the group.

Which had previously been white and belonged to Jeff Beck, if I remember correctly, and Jimmy first attached several round mirrors to it, before eventually getting rid of the finish and applying that dragon artwork.

That was JEFF BECK's sound on the guitar (Jimmy came later).

The video has the Jimmy Page line-up miming to the single, on which Jeff Beck plays the guitar.

In this video you see Jimmy Page but hear Jeff Beck - it is just original studio recording decorated with live footage. There's not much live footage of the Yardbirds available so perhaps that is the reason they included live footage with "wrong" guitarist.

The guitar work is actually by Jeff Beck, they are 'miming' to the record.

One of my big favorite groups when I was a kid .Keith Relf was the lead singer .Sadly he died some years later of electrocution from a badly wired amplifier I believe .

OMG, what a surprise your channel is. I know and love this song from Chris Isaak singing it in 1986 and I had no idea that he had covered it from someone else, you may want to compare that one to this. Isaak sings it with so much more emotion, but Yardbird edition really great too. As an aside, Chris Isaak's Wicked Game is well worth checking out - the video version, not the live one. Both song and video are absolutely legendary.

Pop music, good though. I used to sport a stylish pair of purple velvet flares inspired by Jimi back in the day. Nobody really noticed.

This was an excellent single ..the follow-up to For Your Love. Written by Graham Gouldman who would go on to 10CC. Classic 🎸 !

This is an early one. I heard it first on a French only release and the band's name on the front cover was Les Yardbirds. A band I know who play 60's Garage and Psyche just brought oot a new 7". It was a French only release and they have done the same and have the name Les Thanes on theirs.

YOU HAVE NOT LIVED TILL YOU HAVE HEARD THE YARDBIRDS DO A SONG CALLED HAPPENINGS TEN YEARS TIME AGO, IT WAS RECORDED IN A BREIF PERIOD WHEN THEY HAD JEFF BECK AND JIMMY PAGE BOTH IN THE BAND AND THE GUITAR WORK WAS WICKED.
