So it looks like the plot is going to end up being that a mediocre game developer was desperate to figure out how to get popular, so they started summoning Lovecraftian monstrosities to reveal the secrets of best-selling game development to them, or something, and then hilarity ensued. Props for bringing in Hastur instead of Cthulhu.

I wouldn't really call it a clever trick to hide it. I would've just assumed the doors were there for background decoration if those arrows hadn't been placed in front of them.

The punch-y guys' grabs are poorly telegraphed, as you get very little time react to their windup. Loving the playthrough either way. :)

Idk I never got used to play on my phone, the terrible battery it has may have contributed to be fair (you know, to save it for emergencies). Tho I have to be honest, I did play some games that controlled really nicely, so my opinion on the controls may be influenced by emulated games, mostly. Those...I hardly find one that I can control well on mobile, not having buttons is just too alienating to me. I get confused all the time and press the (virtual) buttons I shouldn't press, lol. I should change phone, cause this looks like the kind of game I'd play.

Heya, Jared. Just a random guy from the peanut gallery here to give my two cents. Dunno if you'll find this comment, or pay attention to it, but in case you do... First, I'd like to point out that you're not forced to go back to where the story left off. You could entirely go back all the way to the beginning if you wanted to. You keep all your money and upgrades, so if you find yourself in a pinch, find one of the rooms that transports you to that screen where you select where to spawn and go from there. Second, if you DO follow the narrator's instructions and follow the arrow where the bridge isn't, you get an extra scene by going into a room that's really high up. No spoilers about it, though~ But it is funny nonetheless. You also fight another boss and can get another boost to your Dashes. And..., well, a PS, if you've read this far. I bought this game because you played it. I saw your first video, and just thought, "I have to have it." And I gotta say... I'm not disappointed. I look forward to your future exploits in this game. -Your Friendly Neighborhood Doom

Anyone else think this game looks kinda bland and lame? I find the whole 'meta' narritive obnoxiously forced and meaningless. It's almost like it's trying to parody that kind of storytelling. The combat seems very shallow and repetitive too, and the level design generic and empty. The sound design, the animation... everything screams mediocre and unfun, to me.
