the song was BLACK GIRL , but it had to be revised/rewritten due to the current popularity of over sensitivity.... it WAS a beautiful song , now castrated and ruined , but the melody remains as it was 150+ yrs ago i suppose it's fitting for a wimmen's empowerment movie , tho'

something is wrong. the Northern family is a partnership, nobody can be neglected or abused, even the oldest person or kids. The family to be seen as a pack of wolves, everybody cares about everybody. We do not see but there must be a hidden great reason to harm other person, it can not be because of money, the story is not full.

She killed and ate her husband because he was leaving her to starve because he was in such debt that he couldn't feed her. He plan for her to die of starvation but she knew his intention so she ate him and fed him to his friend who knew he was leaving and planned to eat her food then rape her.

She's going to survive just fine. She had two edible men in her possession and the other one is buried out in the snow waiting to feed her all winter. She no longer has any debt and now no man in the territory will come mess with her. Obviously she knows how to hunt, kill, gut, chop, slice, cook, seduce, entice and trick. All the skills needed.
