I want to see you do a really long run as the construction worker, where you build up a good base, explore the whole map, and get as many survivors as you can. Especially if you can bring furniture from one zone to another, so you can have all the workbenches and a couch or two in something like the church where you get a special bonus for your location. And the smashing zombies with furniture sounds epic.

@@SgtMversion23 Fortified House seems like it could be easy but long-winded - basically set up a base of your own next door, and just keep giving them luxury salads until their trust level is through the roof, unless there's something else special you need to do to qualify as a housemate.

Future run ideas with plot in mind: Athlete ➡ Terminus speed run ending Soldier ➡ Chopper ending Doctor ➡ Cure ending Driver/Engineer ➡ Marina ending Construction Worker/Chef/Farmer ➡ Fortified House ending Student ➡ Cold Scenario (would have to run to libraries and get the cold adaptation book, and read it many times with the Student skill that lets you read the same book more times, to be able to survive in such cold temperatures)

I'd love to see student, with the intent of the vaccine. I'm imagining that's likely going to take the most complexity to get, so the student's natural aptitude for development over time seems ideal.

It would be nice to see a Student run, possibly with the cure ending. I prefer the base-building side of things rather than a speed-run and a Student/cure plan seems to suit that more.

strongly agree, and student seems like a crazy powerful character for that mission in long-term survival. not just because regardless of one's choices they can pretty quickly max out stats but also they gain traits and cold resistance at an insane pace compared to anyone else.

A student run before you feel too over saturated with the game could be good. It’s also probably the best served for checking off achievements besides park ranger. My idea would be to take student and go all in on dexterity to maximize your crafting potential then find books for the other stats. Health would also be useful to maximize the amount of AP you have to spend reading books. Blitz for a library and a companion if possible so you can spend all day reading while the companion gets necessary supplies. Take the perk that improves cold resistance as much as possible to survive long term as well as fast learner as it’ll pay off with a long survival plan. Ultimately you could got for any ending besides terminus to check another achievement off too.

A tip, if you know your AP will overflow, you can read a book. A few tines or mend some clothes so that AP is not wasted

That was awesome, nice short and impactful run. Can't believe the swarm towards the end, seeing 20 zombies on the map was very frightening! Although maybe not the most engaging, a pacifist run might be pretty fun to see.

Just completed an Athlete speed run to terminus in just under 4 days and it was really fun! I’m doing a slow methodical student run now and it is sooo fun being able to learn things so quickly! I’m going for a fortified house run I think with the student. I haven’t completed the run though. You inspired me to get the game and I’m loving it!

i do hope maybe get another run in the nearby future i probably would be most interested in seeing the student and having a long term base but even without a long term base, that you can fully customize the stat points is probably the most interesting point for me at the student occupation

If you hover over a food (ie lettuce) when you’re in the cook menu it’ll tell you all the recipes you can make with it and which ones you currently have ingredients for

not my type of run and, clearly, not yours but i do find it interesting to see a run that is entirely against instinct and you constantly having to fight yourself to stick to the plan/theme.

The park ranger really doesn't sound that good. You can craft a firestarting tool, and reducing cold damage doesn't seem terribly helpful. Depends on what the trapper perk does, I suppose.

Reducing the amount of damage you take from the cold seems massive in a long term survival plan play through. It never turns back to warm weather in my understanding so doing all you can to mitigate that environmental damage is important.

@@HoboBillyJoel Reasonable, I suppose sleeping 8 hours is gonna hurt if you run out of clothes. But still, it seems like it's encouraging you to sleep outside, which is just a horrible sounding idea.

1:04:15 - Aavak... don't you need to pick up the zombie head in front of the window before you can go through it? You don't have the AP because it's trying to path you around it all.
