This makes me wonder how one would get the "Reach Terminus in 5 days" achievement - you were basically constantly on the move and barely made it half-way through the map, if even that. On a separate note: Student is great for a long-term playthrough, did the vaccine research run with a student, and that was fantastic.

I imagine you'd do way less looting in a speedrun like that. If you don't need to survive more than 5 days, you barely need water or food, just loot enough stuff to find a weapon and a few rations, and just RUUUUUN

There’s an achievement for reaching Terminus in 3 days: Step 1 pick athlete and max out AP gen Step 2 quickly loot 2-4 houses for weapons and food Step 3 Carefully navigate the map during nighttime (avoid sleeping unless you have a disease) That’s all you can really do. The other method is to pick the driver class and pray RNG blesses you with an early car and an easy way to fill it up with gas

Best advise I can give other than what's already been said, is to stick to the Railroad - It'll lead you straight to Terminus. Not without its dangers of course, but it's the best course of action without a Radio. Ironically enough, I did the achievement with the Security Guard. The nighttime vision proved very valuable in making sure I didn't run into zombies in the night.

Glad you back on Terminus. Hard mode is a major jump in difficulty took me by surprise security listen ability was awesome, looking forward to seeing how long it takes, there is achievement for doing in 7days good luck.

Because I was curious: An empty 500ml PET bottle weighs 8 - 12 grams. Weight of a cigarette was annoying to try to find but the only source I found said roughly 1 gram. Maybe a smoker with a good scale can give more data.

By the way, when you use Listen Ability, look at your char first, since a small chat bubble pops up with a number(it dissapears fast), telling you the exact amount of zombies in the map, then you can take your time looking for all the red dots in it.

Yet another game I bought because of you, Aavak. Should just make that a category in my Steam library at this point. Btw, I managed to get to the Terminus in a little under 3 days using the Athlete. How? Their perk is that they don't feel the effects of being tired... they don't need to sleep!

the student is the jourgenaut of the game, you can read multiple times all books, meaning once you find a dex book you max dex, oh? found a str book? boom! max str. its absurdly broken, 2 ingame weeks and i had everything maxed.

also books like cold adaption, reading that thrice *drasically* reduces clothes requirements

I wonder what levels of luck one needs to have to reach turminus in 5 days... first day radio? I am happy to see you going at this again, looking forwards to see how fast you can get to the end.

As had been discussed last season already, fast learner isn't really worth it because you gain a linear bonus on an in demand exponentially growing resource. actually did the maths on it and assuming you get lucky and pick all five stages of fast learner on your first five levels, you break even at about trait !11! (which makes lvl17 with FL) after which it slowly starts picking up pace compared to the regular characters. so unless you read it in a book or expect a very, very long run, FL is really not worth it.
