When I declutter a space, I use a garbage bag for trash, a cardboard box for donations and a laundry basket for items that need to be put away. It helps me remember which container is for which type of items, and they are ready for their destination at the same time! :)

Love this! When I'm overwhelmed with a cluttered room, I use the same method. Even if the room isn't that bad, I always have a "clutter basket". I hurry & declutter as fast as I can, then move on with my zone cleaning... that way I'm not spending my 15 minutes running to other rooms putting stuff away & getting distracted with other tasks. I leave the basket there in that room & usually it bothers me so much after I've cleaned the room, that I don't mind spending another 5 minutes putting those things away.

I have a huge clutter issue in my bonus room. Yesterday I took a timer and cleared and cleaned off my computer desk. Now, I set the timer for 15 minutes and got so far and added another 15 minutes and I am so proud I did it !! Wow!!! Can't wait to try this again. I work full-time and I have a disability I didn't focus on the whole room I just focused on the task at hand !!!

I think I get so overwhelmed by the amount of decluttering I need to do, and I just put it off. Sometimes I work for hours at a time instead of 15 minutes. Thank you for reminding me.

Home blessing and then zone cleaning 2 hours on Saturday. Or break down to 4 days a week=30 min each day. 15 min home blessings and 15 min zone cleaning.

Excellent video...I was super confused before. This breaks down the zones so well. Now I know that 15 min. is simply decluttering time after which I need to spend some extra time putting away stuff in the garbage/in the car/other places where it actually belongs.
