Thank you for doing this! I am a full time working single mom to a teen and a toddler. I also follow the Fly Lady program. My home is about 3200 sq feet which includes a mother in law suite. I care for my elderly mother. If I can do this program ANYONE can. I do things a little differently than you described just because I don't want to bog down my whole Saturday cleaning when I can spend it with my kids. Once you get the house decluttered it really only takes a few minutes each night to work on zone cleaning. I can get up early Saturday morning and get my blessing done within a couple of hours. The only thing I would suggest to anyone on the laundry is put it on to wash when you go to bed at night, pop it in the dryer in the morning (it will finish drying before you leave) and fluff it up a few minutes after you get home then you can fold and put away. I do a lot of crock pot meals, easy on dish meals or freezer meals that I have previously made. Anyway just my perspective on it! Have a blessed day :)

This video is EXACTLY what I needed! I am a payroll fly baby and this answered a lot of my questions. I am starting Zone 1 tomorrow (I know it's a Sunday, but I have no choice this time around). I also have to squeeze in a few other things since I just got back from vacation in your neck of the woods. However, I can say that I unpacked to a mostly clean house because I have been loosely follow the Fly Lady system for about 2 weeks before we left. Love your videos!

I've been loving your videos. Thank you!! And i'm reading the flylady book. Making the bed with the spouse still sleeping made me giggle. I've been making the bed pretty consistently for a couple months now. It was my starting point b/c i knew i could do it before i even began the de-cluttering. I asked him a few weeks ago if he thought it made a difference to him when he came home and the bed was made and i was surprised he said yes! This week i pushed through all the clutter on all the surfaces and all the laundry and dusted everything! It looks awesome and i am so proud of myself and the room. :) The reason i get up first almost always now, is because of our new dog Lucy. (she's a rescue and we've had her 3 weeks

Flylady Kat Can't tell enough jow great you explain everything. Still motivated. My struggle is working part time and figuring out a system for a transition of five preschool classes going 20 minutes a piece one after the other. The ages vary 3 to 5 in age. I teach Spanish for all students.

Thank you so much for this video! I'm so glad that I discovered you! I am now a subscriber. I work full time, have a 4 hour round trip commute, a one year old and a three year old, and a husband that works a rotating shift schedule. Needless to say every day is different so it's extremely hard to stick to a routine. But your video gave me some great tips. I have renewed hope!

Hi Kat! Thank you so much for this video. I work a traditional Monday-Friday 40 hour work week. This video was so helpful for me. Now I understand how I can be a fly baby too. Im so lucky my husband does all the laundry and most nights the dinner dishes. I have my elderly MIL living in town now and I take care of her finances and grocery shopping. I have finally gotten those things on the same schedule as when I do mine which has been so helpful. Thank you again! ❤

I had an idea about getting that laundry started so it is ready when you get home. If your machine is newer it might have a delayed start button (mine does, as does my Dishwasher) these are great because you can fill, add the soap and set the amount of hours delay before the wash cycle starts. If you have the old style push/pull to start machines you can get a manual/digital timer for your wall socket and it will keep the power from your machine until the time you set .... maybe an hour before you get home. I set mine to start at 5 am so I can get the washing put as soon as I get up. You could also get a 'smart' PowerPoint which does the same thing only you control the socket from your mobile phone (smart socket uses the home wifi). You could start the cycle from work so that it ends when you walk in the door 😄

I have been flying for many years, but going from part time to full time job and moving to a larger house in a different city threw my routines out of control. I have tried many times to get back on track but until finding you have been unsuccessful. I get up at 4:00 in the morning to be at work by 5:30. This makes the normal morning routine which I used to be able to do, impossible. Your videos on the payroll flybabies helped me put it into perspective. You also helped me by understanding that the routine are most important. I always focused on the zones and weekly plan. I come home from work at 1:30 exhausted, but I am try to use this time as my morning and laundry routine and after a nap my evening and bedtime routines. Thank you for giving me "permission" not to follow the weekly plan as prescribed but the reminder that it should still be scheduled.

Could you alert all moms to add the task to check their kids car seat to be sure they’ve dropped them off to daycare, tired parents, especially new ones, forget they have an infant/child in the car, because of heat every year babies left in cars die, thank you for help getting this message to parents

K Dickson, the best idea for preventing this I ever heard was for the driver (mom or dad) to put his/her cell phone in the car seat with baby. We might forget baby but NO ONE forgets cell phone. Sad. But. True!!!

Thank you so much for this! I work typical 9-6er, M-F - and have working the Flylady on and off to make it work for me. Laundry for our household is done on Sat/or Sun because we're apt dwellers & our laundry room closes an hour after we fight the CA parking lots during the week & we don't have our own machines. Sometimes we also have to go to Laundromat. One thing I haven't master yet is menu planning but that is on my to-do list or project list -- (Take time to learn it task).

My next step is to get my kitchen cabinets organized. I am definitely challenged when it comes to developing a cleaning routine but you motivated me to do that! I hope you continue with these wonderful videos. So very helpful.

Thanks for this. Our house is a little different so I am trying to adapt parts of this and Konmari to fit our home. I work and my honey is retired on disability. My morning routine is Let dogs out Turn on coffee pot Feed cats - ten get dry food, old cat with no teeth gets soft food Feed rabbit Let dogs in Feed dogs Pee Get coffee Dress for work He takes care of dishes during the day, as well as cleaning the litter boxes and sweeping the floor. I don’t wake him unless he needs the car that day (we share one vehicle). I can definitely add swishing the toilet and wiping down the bathroom sink when I am brushing my teeth and hair (I don’t wear makeup unless I’m on stage).

Kat, thank you for this video! Thank you for respecting working women! I dreaded saturdays growing up Bc we had to work like fools doing so much work. I’m confused how payroll fly ladies get in their deep cleaning? Those are zones, correct? Do you do a different zone each day? PS I like doing my grocery shopping on Sundays after church. I find it relaxing, because I hate how crowded the stores are on Saturday 😉 I attend early service & am usually shopping in a fully stocked, mostly empty store.

Hello Kat 🙋‍♀️ I really love your videos! I have a question about the weekly home blessing. Stripping the bed..does that include the kids bedding also? If not, when should we do the kids bedding? I can’t imagine it’s just once a month in the zone? Thank you 🙏 😌

Add one or 2 "deep clean" tasks a day to your zone. That's the deep cleaning. So if your zone is bathroom, aside from the maintenance cleaning jng pick 2 things to deep clean and get it done. Pick 2 new things each day. You're deep cleaning as you're going so you never have to deep deep clean everything at once

Wow.... I am a working mom.... I work from home FULL TIME as well as am a mom FULL TIME. The label "payroll flybabies" is insulting beyond. I've been following FlyLady and use the system... you are the only one who uses terms to demean others. Please consider your choices in wording. My full time working husband also enjoys most of the FlyLady vids, unfortunately, we are a normal family, who share duties and don't subscribe to the 50's ideas you push constantly.

Payroll flybabies is used throughout the Flylady system. How is it demeaning? If you work and are compensated, you are on a payroll. No insult there, just a fact of the matter. 1950's? If you want to make changes the only person you are capable of changing is yourself. You can nag and complain if you have a messy house, but you cannot force others to comply. Many who come for help are at that point and just want to get things moving. While it may be ideal to have work equally divided, it is easier said than done and someone people need work on establishing that.
