Teshar is really strong and underrated because he's mono-white. However, an extremely fun competitive deck that splashes alot of these combos and more is Koll, The Forgemaster. You still use the sac outlets, you can still do infinite retriever combos but ultimately it's just Cheerios and free/cheap equipment cards to infinitely ping, mill, etc, etc
@waynefeller88243 жыл бұрын
I did something similar with Lavinia, Azorius Renegade. It was Stax with a Teshar win. And since all the Stax pieces and ramp are artifacts, it had amazing synergy.

@@waynefeller8824 how were all the stax cards artifacts? Can you provide a decklist ?

@@moreplease394 - Knowledge Pool, Storm Cauldron, and Omen Machine. I am at work, and don't have a list online. I will see if I can write it up tonight or tomorrow. I did have Eye of The Storm in there, since it combos well with Lavinia. But with so few Storm decks in my CEDH meta, it really was a dead draw, all too often

Keep up the great work man. Now i'm thinking about what would happen if somebody decide to put 150$ or 200$ into this deck omg Teshar can become very broken hahaha What do you think about incorporating a Leonin Squire into this ?
@LocalGameGroup3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for joining the channel. Leonin Squire can combo in the deck, but is more suitable when the deck also has access to Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, Lotus Petal, etc. I think the retrievers highlighted are the best available within this price range. However, for my "no budget" cEDH build visit here: tappedout.net/mtg-decks/a-better-teshar-ancestors-apostle-2/

@@LocalGameGroup Yeah that's what i thought too. And I also think their is many way to abuse some mechanics with lengendary low cost spells. So I run a similar list. But I also run Desecrated Tomb, Crashing Drawbridge, and Genesis Chamber.

Chamber’s tough cause it’s symmetrical, but Tomb works well. I’ve actually won off an opposing Teshar’s Chamber before, haha.
@waynefeller88243 жыл бұрын
@@LocalGameGroup - I agree that the Chamber can be tricky. It is the one combo piece that requires the most set up, as well as understanding the consequences of the board state. It does take practice to know when to play Genesis Chamber. But it is nice to have an additional combo piece to draw or tutor into.

Answering the question proposed of what color I would include in all my decks if forced to? I'd honestly say Red as well. Red has evolved so much as a color recently and has slowly become one of my absolute favorites. Hi! quick question, if you were to start a MTG club at a college how would you do it? especially with giving out rewards for like draft or tournaments
@darkdestiny91063 жыл бұрын
What I would suggest is to do weekly small pods of games, e.g. 4 EDH game pods weekly, with the winner walking away with a sealed booster pack. Encourage brewing discussions at the meetup, and allow people to play some more after the pods are done. Once members are engaged, you could then do fundraisers to help fund the weekly games. If you do have club funds, you could do a booster box tournament to close the year. Source: was a vice-president of an e-sports club back in university. The important thing is to keep encouraging engagement from hardcore members of the club and the casual engagement will follow, etc. Of course, later on, you can split the engagement to allow for more casual pods, etc too.

Hey Patrick, love the videos you post! I bought this deck last night and I love the idea of a mono-white cedh deck that makes people sweat. I have a question about some of the cards here. I feel like Leonin Relic-Warder, Portable Hole and Pyre of Heroes? I kind of understand Portable Hole for potential removal and repeatable artifact value, but what about the other two cards? Could Enduring Renewal, Fanatical Devotion, or other sacrifice outlets in white make this deck a little better? Love to hear your thoughts and I hope to hear from you soon. Hopefully I can learn how to build cEDH decks from this awesome brew!
@LocalGameGroup3 жыл бұрын
Hey, glad you enjoyed it! Let me preface by stating that the deck is exactly what I would play within this budget and that I wouldn’t change anything, but. 1. Enduring Renewal - Do not over complicate things with this over-costed utility. You give away your hand/draw for absolutely no reason, at four mana. 2. Fanatical Devotion - Decent effect - good on combo (potentially) - this is a fair include, but not over Leonin/Hole. Potentially Pyre (which you should look over relevant subtypes for, as it helps eek out wins).

I get so tired of the pedantics. If an MTG player says "infinite", you know what they mean. No one sets off a true infinite game draw on purpose. (except to be cheeky) And Green is the color I would always use. The Timmy in me loves fat creatures, the Spike in me loves ramp and smooth mana bases.
