Beautiful ride. I went out there with my old Royal Enfield Himalayan. I was laughed at but the bike didn’t fail at all. I miss living out there. I pretty much putted around in first gear only. It was the only way with such little power. But the torque pulled me through. Just. Probably won’t do that again on the little Himi. I missed some of that gnarly terrain you went on. No way the little nugget could’ve done it.

Nice one man straight back on the saddle after the high country trip, dummy 101 question thou, when your on a steep hill, shouldn’t you get off and walk/run beside the bike as your letting off the clutch to get past that steep bit to the next flat section?
@The_Apprentice_Adventurer7 ай бұрын
Hmmm not that I’m aware of. The more your on the bike the easier it is and safer it is. As long as the bike doesn’t get away from you it’s best to stay on in my books.

@@The_Apprentice_Adventurer ah okay. It did look like some steep country, I wouldn’t have been able to run a metre beside it without dying anyway ha ha. Nice to see a Ktm not destroyed on this one
@timdudeney50727 ай бұрын
@budget_adventure No. Definitely not. Go watch some Graeme Jarvis videos, and I think Brett Tkacs and Definitely Clinton Smout all talk about it too. Loading up the back wheel for traction to get going is the best way. Walking beside it totally removes all pressure from the back wheel, and hence lose traction and just spin out. Takes skill to do what Graeme does though. Actually pretty sure Chris Birch covers it in his training stuff too.

Ride the bike(s) you have, the trails you have, ski the snow you can access. Comparison only leads to disappointment in this sense.
