Happy Monday! Today, I’ll be reacting to Jubilee’s newest Middle Ground episode titled “Should Minors Transition? Detransition vs Trans | Middle Ground”. We’ll be covering many questions related to this topic. Should sex reassignment surgery be banned? Should minors be able to transition? Is therapy better than medically transitioning when it comes to gender dysphoria? Is the LGBTQ community really as accepting as they claim to be? All that and more will be broken down on today’s show!

No one ever responds with something like this. Something about when they pull the valid card stops people short, even in real life. But it's such an important point and would really help to stop the narrative that we are invalidating everyone's experience or denying their existence. It's so frustrating to hear that storyline of theirs because it's so I correct and ultimately pointless, yet it's a keystone to all of their arguments against conservatives. Drives me crazy

I find it funny that within the LGBT community they talked about not adhering to gender roles and yet the moment they decide that they are a different gender they had here solely to those rules. A man transitioning to a woman starts wearing makeup and dresses and talking high-pitched and becoming more "girly". I was born a girl and I live is a girl and I don't even do all of that so it's a stereotype of women in a stereotype of men and they cling so fully to this.

Interesting that most people who transition with puberty blockers, hormones and surgeries are white. If a black kid tells his parents he's trans, they usually just hope he grows out of it. They do not acquire hormones or get surgeries. Black trans get hormones when their adults. They generally don't get any plastic surgeries. This could be because of money. But sometimes money restrictions are a good thing. Most people who get the SRS surgery seem to regret it.

So the thing about Shapeshifter is he was very damaged by his transition. He (from what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong someone) accepts all pronouns because he doesn't really feel like he can go back completely because of how much his body has been damaged. He also just enjoys dressing like a woman. It seems to me like if he hadn't had surgeries he probably would have just gone back to he/him. He's not one of those people who demands that you call him by all of those things interchangeably like the "genderfluid" people who say it's transphobic or whatever to just use the pronoun you're more comfortable with, or the people who pick a new pronoun every other day, he simply doesn't care what people call him.

Yes - I watch his content here on KZbin. The only reason he put "any pronouns" is because he no longer cares what someone calls him because there is no way he can transition fully back to a passing male, unlike Daniel. It's not that he has a different "gender identity", he knows he is a man. He is a male. He was never female, and he will never be anything but male. However, he has severe medical complications for the rest of his life and he knows he will never go back to looking like a man ever. He will never get his secondary sex organ back. He will probably have breasts until they shrink or he has them removed. He has a channel on KZbin where he actively talks about resisting the "gender delusion" even though sometimes he feels he was happier when he was delusional. But that's the honest truth - delusion is fake happiness. His activism and his testimonies against child mutilation are powerful. I wish this interview had done him more justice.

Shape mentioned recently in a video that he would like to remove the breast implants, but it costs too much. Shape has a heartbreaking story, lots of physical trauma after being convinced he was trans (the trans agenda fed into his discomfort of being a gay man). Shape has osteoporosis from transitioning (like so many) among other medical problems. Shape will tell you that he did not get the mental health care he needed and instead got rushed through gender affirming care. Shape does not trust doctors now for good reasons and struggles with terrible body dismorphia & depression. Detransitioner's stories need to be heard and believed and valued. ❤

@@geeksanonymous yeah I saw his interview on Blaire White's channel and it's just so sad. It's maddening that people on the trans activist side try to sweep stories like his under the rug. I'm not someone who thinks that nobody should ever transition, because I do believe that there is a very tiny percentage of the population who suffers from gender dysphoria that can genuinely benefit more from living life as the other sex as fully as they can within the bounds of reason, but there need to be major safeguards, like extensive therapy (not from a gender affirming therapist) among other things to prevent situations like his from happening.

It is honestly sad and painful to see Luka being told that her case is different and dismissed because, in their opinion, she was "misdiagnosed" by all the people advocating for this. They are saying it like a misdiagnosis can never happen again. Like nobody can ever make a mistaken again. That everyone should do it because no one (except idiot Luka) would ever be wrong about this. A word of caution: When someone claims to be acting out of compassion, it is very important to analyse how compassionately they act to those who disagree with them.

And turning on a dime to blaming Luka's parents for being "irresponsible" enough to listen to the professional gender therapists who threatened that Luka would take her life if not allowed to medicalise!!! The thing with this too though is a lot of kids go on tik tok or look up the symptoms of something to repeat it to a therapist to get a diagnosis when maybe they don't even have those symptoms. @@lysseast2380 Yes, that's a fair point, which begs the question on how a diagnosis is reached. In the US it sounds like the diagnosis is reached too quickly. After 1-3 appointments? When I turned 22 I felt the same as you, made the realization that I'm so different from my 16yo self. At 25 I had the realization again and 28, and 30...and I've come to the conclusion that I'm constantly changing and I'll never be the same person because I'm constantly experiencing new things that change me. It scares me that if you asked some transitioners that act this way if they felt like they were the same person as 5 years ago they'd say yes, which is not healthy imo it shows you're not growing as a person

They *think* they know, like all kids and teens do. But the reality is, when they get older, they will realise the way we all did... With time, maturity, a fully developed brain and life experience! We are constantly evolving and should be constantly growing, change isn't always bad... it creates a well rounded human and ultimately a better society! So it's not an insult to the community when anybody says that with time and age you grow up, some changes occur in your opinions/ life view ect. Yes some people are genuinely trans but there are also some that are not. That doesn't invalidate trans people! But you can't say you must believe they know who they are, but then invalidate and punch down on the people who change their mind! Because the whole premise is to trust how you feel and for everyone to affirm/validate trans people then you have to affirm that the detransitioners know who they are too!

since young age i was a girl, who liked to have short hair, get dirty in the woods and play soccer with boys... I never felt like a boy, but i remember feeling sort of strange and different from other girls. I often wished, people would just accept me as a girl, prefering "boy typical hobbies" Now i'm 35, mother of two boys, and still happy and proud to be a woman. I think people should just stop pushing children in girl and boy typical schemes.

Kids die in pool drownings every year, they don’t think that not being able to swim is important, they are attracted to the water. The same with fire, the numbers of kids being killed when playing with fire. When it comes to gender, the attraction of wearing a dress for a boy, or wearing boys clothes as a girl is not an indication of gender dysphoria, it is curiosity over what they admire in others, nothing more.

As a gen z, a couple of years ago, I started to question my sexuality and if I should transition, luckily, thank God I didn't, and something that helped me open my eyes is definitely this channel and others that made my sanity come back to me as well as making me open to reality, I definitely blame social media for having videos telling me if you like manly stuff you're a man and if you like girly stuff you're a women, definitely had a lot of issues back then. I'm doing much better now, mentally and physically embracing my femininity. Yep, it was definitely just a phase that could've easily ruined my life. I would've rather go through an emo phase. Sure, it's cringy, but it's definitely more healthy.

Always ask yourself these questions: "Would I be even thinking about this if I didn't have internet access?" "Would I even know about this if not for my peers?" When you realize you would have NO idea what transgender even is if you didn't find out about it on the internet or through school trends, it makes you realize how silly it is. I apply this mentality to many things. If something is making me confused or upset, I ask myself if I would still be confused/upset if I were a farmer living somewhere without any people or internet access. It really puts things in perspective and makes you realize how we're clobbered with all this insane propaganda.

This is a big problem in this new era as well. People ( even parents) are disconnecting from each other… favoring technology and screen time. To be honest it’s always been a problem for certain parents to be more materialistic and care too much how they measure up to the neighbors. Technology just amplified it. I hope you’d be able to talk to your parents about this, and they care to change things , but if they’re too far gone it’s not the end of things. You’re young and have a lifetime to do things different. Let it give you a stronger constitution about how you will live your life, and create a life with your future family. Don’t let it take you down. ❤

If given full autonomy, she would not brush her hair again, until she realized it wasn’t long, and straight, and pretty anymore and then she’d want to brush it again so that it looked pretty again.. not knowing that NOT brushing her hair for so long would make it even harder and more painful to brush out. Kids can’t fully comprehend the consequences of their actions at such a young age, and need to be guided to make the healthier choice, even if it’s not what they want to do!

Had they asked me and then helped me start transitioning, where would I be now. I am still a tomboy, decades later, but I am most definitely a woman. When one makes the choice to have irreversible castrating surgery, realizing that it was never necessary, is a devastating realization to come to, even tho it is the beginning of fully accepting oneself as one actually is. The need for supportive, accepting and compassionate care for detransitioners is great. I work with kids, and yes there is a LOT that we need to trust with kids in allowing decision making and allowing them to make mistakes and giving them space to feel like they have control, but alternating their body in such a way is too extreme. Kids change their minds constantly, they don't understand some things fully especially long term consequences. They also love to live in made up worlds at young ages because it is fun and not because they truly believe it. I had a seven year old girl pretend to be a chicken for an entire year. And yes, I played along with it only because I knew she didn't fully believe it. Should we actually believe, accept and treat her like a chicken for the rest of her life and force her to be a chicken until adulthood?

Amala, Shape (or Shape Shifter) is that detrans person's online name. He is a biological male who transitioned maybe a decade ago but has had so many probs as as a result of medication & surgeries. They present female bc they can't go back and present male after all the surgeries . They don't care what pronouns are used so i think that's why it says pronouns are he/she/they. Because they know it's hard to look at them and hear them and necessarily think "he" but they know they're biologically male. They were on Blaire White's podcast and explained it all and they have a KZbin channel too where they speak against transing kids.

Your comment is just the flip of what he got from the trans activist side of things... You're saying he should change who he is and what he likes so his personality matches his biology. Trans activist and trans ideology said he should change his body to match his personality (what they consider is "gender") and that's how he ended up mutilating his body. He doesn't have a problem accepting himself as a man. That was the result of trans ideology. But he can't go back and fully detransition either so he's sort of stuck in between being male & female. It's SO cringe when someone says, "no one knows a person better than themselves." That's just ignorant and lazy. Of course people know other people better than they might know themselves; that's what therapy and counseling is for: to take what you think you know or feel and help you interpret it in reality! Also, do you know who knows kids better than themselves? Parents who are involved and wise! This is why we tell children when we know something is good or bad for them even if they fight it. If a child cries at getting immunizations, so we just not do it because they're saying they don't want it? If my 9 year old says he's an excellent driver because he learned from his video games, do I hand over the keys to my truck? What a dumb assertion to say no one knows you better than you.

The absolute arrogance, disrespect and hypocrisy of Samantha to repeatedly and continuously sit there and invalidate Luka's existence and experience by saying things like 'the only cure for gender dysphoria is medical transition' and to tell Luka repeatedly that she doesn't have gender dysphoria and that she was misdiagnosed based on absolutely nothing but the fact that Luka's experience and existence is opposing her ideology and she feels threatened by it. Is that not erasure? is that not discrimination? Because if it happened the other way around and Luka was the one telling Samantha that she doesn't have gender dysphoria and therefore cannot be trans, that would be transphobic, no? I think there is a real issue of entitlement and privilege happening with a small group of people within the trans community (and I want to be clear that I am talking about specific individuals and not the trans community as a whole) and it seems to be the ones that get invited to these debates. Because I have watched several of your videos reacting to these debates and have repeatedly seen multiple times that certain people who identify as trans keep trying to establish rules that apply to them but not everyone else -- for example, in one of the videos certain individuals were establishing that they self identify with certain pronouns and would like to be addressed that way, but when women ask in return to be called women instead of cis women or anything else other than just women those same people did not respect that. The same thing is happening in this one where they want to establish a rule but want it to only apply to them and not everyone else. If you establish rules that only apply to a certain group of people but its not a rule that applies to anyone outside of that small group, then what you are establishing is a privilege and you are doing that because you feel entitled to. (your videos are great by the way and while I might not agree with a few things I love that here on your channel and with the community that you have built that its okay for us not to agree with some things, we can still be respectful, kind, compassionate and understanding and have a productive conversation and exchange of ideas. This is actually the only space where I feel comfortable and safe enough to comment and talk about these topics so thank you for always being open-minded, compassionate and kind. I do agree with a lot of your opinions though.)

I've been saying for years that in times of peace, our survival instincts overreact to small infractions. This is why people treat words as violence. They do not have actual violence to use as a reference point. Their life has never been in danger, so being offended is actually the worst thing that's ever happened to them. This is why I think it's important for every single person on earth to get their ass kicked at least one time in their life. Getting your ass kicked teaches you humility and gives you perspective.

I’m so happy that you react to these videos! I tried watching this alone and I got SOOO frustrated and angry and emotional because of the trans people spreading lies and invalidating the others ESPECIALLY Luka! But watching it with you, taking those pauses to break things down, you’re so intelligent and based and even calming! So thank you Amala for reacting to these with us 💜💜💜 they make a huge impact!

There was something that triggered a memory in me. I had a friend in middle school that hates feet and literally tried to, in non graphic terms, "remove" it long before she told me when we were around 11 or 12. She has a bad scar on her ankle as a result of that and while I acknowledge she didn't grow up in the best home environment, that decision and strong willingness to act on it came from a child. There's going to be times when children need to be protected from themselves so I feel the argument of saying "we insult children by taking away their autonomy etc." is just very ignorant and insulting in itself of children's capabilities but also what the human mind and drive for action can do when there's no limitations. Luckily she's fine and in her mid twenties now but it could have been a very different scenario in a situation already without adult influence to deter her from a rash decision.

Lol I was just thinking about making the analogy of wanting to remove my arms because I hated them I would be considered crazy but if I wanted to remove my breast, I’d be “brave”..yeah, it’s the same thing except the idea of transness is so much more damaging to one’s life and is a lot deeper with what’s happening in society... 🤡 world.

Its cool (and funny) to you see you watch your old content. it's very apparent how much you've grow in confidence and as a person. very relatable. Also incredibly relatable to see you cringe at yourself. Best to you as you continue on your own
