Lost my sister in January of 2021 to fentanyl/heroin and I think the worst part was losing her 4 years prior as she was not her on the drug. I still cry to this day knowing my kids wont have an aunt and I will never be an uncle. This song means a lot to me as the lake in my eyes are the drugs out there. Hope you are doing well brother and just know you are not alone. Like the saying goes, pain never goes away, but time makes it manageable. Most people hate it when screaming bands go softer but honestly I totally understand why they do it.

I am here to tell you all that there is hope... We can all be free from the hopeless way that we are living. We can all be free, we can all be renewed and live a different life where we have hope knowing that there is somebody out there who cares for us, who is waiting for us to seek him, he is waiting with his arms wide open to set us free! His name is Jesus Christ! I used to be depressed all the time living a very dark life, hopeless, feeling like I didn’t want to be here any longer. I didn’t have a reason to live but I always knew deep inside of me that there was a purpose in life and when I came to God, I prayed one night looking up to the sky and said “God I don’t want to be like this anymore I want to change please help me” that was my prayer.. God heard me because he knew I was broken hearted... mind you, I didn’t believe in God prior to that prayer but he was my last hope. There was nobody around that could help me and I was just feeling weighed down everyday more and more until I came to God.... see we live in a fallen creation because of sin, because of the wicked ways some evil people live but that’s not how God had intended it for us to be... when we are depressed, have anxiety, stress, and living hopeless, we are actually being tormented by demons that are around the air and yes there is a spiritual world among us which we cannot see but satan will try to keep you in chains by having all these demons torment you but we have somebody who can set us feee from all that... We don’t have to live this way anymore... Come to God and see that he is good!! What do we have to lose??.... We are all sinners and I mean everybody.. The Bible says that the wages of sin is DEATH!!! God is giving you a gist today, a gift of salvation... God will not force you to come to him because he gave us free will.. we have to make the decision to take his gift of salvation and eternal life with him in heaven... zCome to God, repent from your sins, ask God to forgive your sins, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. It says in the Bible that when we come to Christ we are new creatures we are made new 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! I really hope you guys read all trough this all I am doing is sharing the good news that one day was shared to me and by it I am now set free from my former life now my life has meaning and I have hope, I have joy that nobody can take away because it comes from God... God bless every one of you! 1 COR 15:3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Saw them live for the first time after seeing them after listening to them for years. His vocals live sound exactly like the studio versions. Best screamers hands down I couldn’t believe it

And just like that, I'm crying and listening to this song more than 20 times. I turn my back and fuck it up. if I can only learn my lesson. There's nothing wrong with my depression, my sick and miserable obsession

Ahrens falsetto is like literally the voice of an angel. Wasn’t a big fan of this album, but this song is so amazing. Joel’s clean voice is very underrated. I’d like to hear him sing more. I just prefer heavier shit that’s all.

I was abused/compromised at such a young age I had to deal nightmares, terrors which led to alcoholism and addiction. I was lost, insecure and felt alone but Joel birches lyrics saved my life and didn’t feel so alone anymore. Pittsburgh, drag the lake, all fu**ed up, soak me in bleach, feels like I’m dying and aloneliness kept me off the ledge.

These guys are my ultimate go to band when im feeling down.. Just like a lot of you fans. I love how they write and speak so freely about mental health and suicide.. Something we need to do more in society. I struggle with depression myself and some days it's hard to not think about suicide.. This song is one of my favorites when I feel that way. May be strange, but it works for me

@corbinm52376 жыл бұрын
JRC animations I feel the same way. Some parts of the new album were like “what is this?” for me. Especially the choruses for Kick Rocks,Holier Than Heaven,D.I.E.,and Feels Like I’m Dying. In general though I knew they were very passionate about the album. Set Me Free and The Gifthorse are some of my favorite songs from them.
@jasonlovesmusicreacting8826 жыл бұрын
@@corbinm5237 Lol you need to listen to more metalcore then because they're barely even scratching the surface. Not a bad song though. Also I enjoyed Kick Rocks' chorus lol.
@mynamebucket6 жыл бұрын
they aren't metalcore anymore homie. they peaked with youngbloods and chasing ghosts
@corbinm52376 жыл бұрын
Jason LovesABR haha well I just think it’s an odd chorus that’s all. And I do and have listened to plenty of metalcore. Any Given Day,Asking Alexandria,August Burns Red,Breakdown Of Sanity,Born of Osiris,etc. Preference is the reason why I can’t listen to it often or on repeat though. I’m not a fan of the metalcore that’s basically chugging riffs and blast beating it’s way through 4 minutes. I like when there’s more technicality than brutality involved with the instrumentals.
@corbinm52376 жыл бұрын
Brian Keane I still consider them a metalcore band. One album doesn’t reclassify a band entirely in my opinion. Otherwise Breaking Benjamin would be alternative metal,Within Temptation would be industrial metal (if Resist is considered metal),and Avenged Sevenfold is progressive metal. I have a hard time believing most people would associate those bands with those genres unless they continue down those creative directions going forward.
