No front plate no problem, a Tesla fix

I have a red Model 3 and have black California legacy plates. I have the licence plate wrap for my front plate and it looks amazing. I get a lot of looks and questions. It should be noted that they will only match the plate that you have registered since they do everything through the DMV. When I update to the new Model Y sometime next year, I'm doing this again.

I have a clip on plate that attches to the grill adn you can easly remove it with the supplied key. If I had known about this product, I may have purchased it instead. While license plates are fairly small, I wonder how much better efficiency can be had without it. In Texas, we too are required to have a front and rear license plate, which is why I selected the removable plate from Tesloid. The product is very well made, so if California ends up forcing you to get a mounted plate, then I suggest this one.

Teslas (or any other car) cant be registered unless there is a plate mounting point in Australia. A ship of teslas was refused import approval when it was detected the rear parcel shelf was not compliant with child restraint rules. All had a wharfside recall before they could be allowed a compliance plate sticker. Tesla are well known to exclude parts to save a few cents if they can.

Most states would not consider this a plate (texas says no for sure)...just pay the fine for no front tag...I consider it a vanity tax...and so far in nearly 40 years of driving I have paid about 35 bucks in vanity tax.
