I am one of those people who actually look up the overall plot and characters of an anime on the wiki before i even start watching it. There is nothing worse than seeing the dreaded "DECEASED" status on one of your favorite characters, knowing that they will die in the future, but i cant help myself ;)

I do feel like it's because at the time the shounen genre was getting diluted and isekai was reigning supreme and mha was the one of the first to bring the shouned formula back to its roots and ushered in all the newer shows like black clover and recently jujutsu kaisen Talking about the show itself it's really good I'm a fan of it...I do sometimes don't get what all the hype is about but there r moments where I go "yup that's hype" It's a pretty box standard shounen anime but there is a lot of attention to detail in the plot and the character development that I feel like the whole thing was planned from start to finish

Eh? Is it really tho? I mean sure its not like in the big 4, but like in its peak it was definitely top 50 at least manga-wise and the anime was top 100 for a while. I mean right now its like in the 800’s, but most things drop after a while, especially when nothing new is actively releasing at the time. Hype for that series ebbs and flows a lot, but it does well. I don't think it is particularly underrated. I mean in my opinion at least.

But simultaneously the first experience is something special and as a writer you want to control the first experience, with the amount of information you give the consumer. Because how are you supposed to enjoy revisiting the story if you already had near the same experience when you first watched it. You can NEVER replicate a first experience, so you might as well just have it how the creator intended it, and thinks is best suited for the kind of Story they wrote and we don't have any clue what it's really about

You can’t possibly say JJBA is “Too long” because that’s just saying you’re okay with One Piece having over 900 episodes. Doesn’t JoJo have 174? I don’t know the exact number, but my point is there’s no point in saying that JoJo is too long. Skipping parts is stupid, but you also just don’t skip important arcs to an anime series. Like One Piece. If you skipped the Marine Ford arc, you wouldn’t know what would happen to Ace or Whitebeard if you didn’t read the manga. Or the Impel Down arc, in that arc Luffy needed to save Ace because he was captured and being held in an underwater facility. Wouldn’t know that if I skipped it.

I think the Monogatari Series Anime does a good job at making you understand Araragi’s thoughts. Although the single frame text scenes can get a little annoying they can reveal important stuff since they are usually Araragi’s thoughts (Like the part where he admits the fact that he used to love Sodachi)
