This is a fun look at a Western way of life in the big antique mall in Idaho Falls! Yellowstone is literally up the road, so lodge and ranch items co-mingle with mid-century modern glass, early 1900s school bells and the antique and vintage offerings of a huge section of the state.
This place looks big, and it is! A rare antique mall with an elevator, this place has three floors of everything...a stylish French travel poster and Ernest Tubb's signature, old money and books, elegant glass and solid, stylish antique furniture intersperse with things that feel more uniquely of the Mountain West. Hopi dancers, a lasso bowl cozy, lodge animal mounts and vintage saddlery are decorative now, but tell stories of real days of hard riding and hard work to live in this section of the USA. Another story is told by a plate from Nauvoo, Illinois about the hard life of the early Mormon pioneers.
We go into the basement in hopes of deals, and meet a viewer who is doing the one most important thing a successful real world (or online) antique and vintage dealer can do! A great tip sends us through the rest of this large maze-like mall, and we get to the counter to see the sizeable pile of things we bought...will Glorious Leader come home with us?

In the early sixties in Inglewood California, on the way to the private parochial Lutheran K-8 school.. there was a doll hospital, my mother is one of those practical folks, I can remember her taking one of her old dolls in, she didn't talk a lot - but she wasn't happy.. she grew up in a very small town Houghton Lake Michigan very touristy - her father had a Ford dealership a cement block Factory a sawmill, they also did Ice cutting and set up ice camps for fishermen- along with the bunkhouse where they housed & fed 20 some odd men, you might have had lots of businesses to keep the bunkhouse boys busy... she ran a trap line for muskrats, Grandma cooked them up they taste just like chicken, grandma was a wonderful cook.. she sold the Skins to save money for her future..

Good evening, George! There was an Egyptian papyrus, in front of the Zenith radio, that caught my eye. I'm an ancient Egyptian nut. I really liked that black marble, on the sideboard. The formal look of the black marble is appealing to me. Those Fenton "Orange Tree" tumblers were actually "Orange Tree Orchard". The "Orange Tree" has four feet on them, and they are almost always chipped...it's expected. That barrister's bookcase was really nice. I could definitely use one of those, after this weekend. For some unknown reason, I'd really like to have one of the old school bells. Loved the Marilyn Monroe potato sack dress poster! She looked great in anything! There were a lot of old doorknobs there that caught my eye. I like old doorknobs. I have an old oak store display, but it has no shelves. I display a Jenny Lind doll my grandmother made in it. I would call that 1890 side-by-side a bonnet dresser. I have a nice oak highboy that has a hat box in it. There were a lot of really interesting things there! There were several furniture pieces that I really liked. Thanks for the take-along!

I do like the black marble, especially offset with bright pastel china...but that's just the fussy side of me I don't really get to express since I don't have a Victorian home. Thank you for the clarification on the Fenton variant, I'll look for feet on Orange Tree! I need another barister bookcase in my life, I've sold four in two years and now wish I had one to take to shows. Marilyn was amazing in so many ways and I love that story! I thought you'd enjoy this one and I'm glad you got to see it!

@@TheAntiqueNomad The "Orange Tree" pieces that have the four feet are the water set, the table set, the berry set and the hatpin holder. Those feet are the main reason Fenton didn't reintroduce those pieces when they did some reissues. Those feet come to quite a sharp point, and they didn't fare very well.

I believe that COLETTE was the sculpter Rodin's muse-assistant sculptress for many years. They lived in the Paris of the Impressionists, Salons and idle rich. Quite a story George. Hi George, Kristin with 503Vintage in Portland OR. On this video you find some Inarco and I thought I’d add some color to your story. My parents were married in 1964. They would drive to the coast and play the games at the arcade in Seaside, where those pieces were given away as prizes on some of the games there. My parents won several pieces of the Mood Indigo, of which I have decided to part with and are now for sale at my booth at Memory Den!

You mentioned not understanding putting out sets of 3 and 5 glasses, but I think a set of 5 is perfectly acceptable. After all, in many asian cultures it was bad luck to have a set of 4. Set of 3 though? Definitely an odd one. Either sell it as a pair or use them as "upcycled" candle votives. Those would look lovely as candle votives with a more refined wood tone home
