It's not the idea that the male is the one to conceive or give birth, its weird considering whether or not hes dating an alien Steve is still a human. Tbf it's clearly played for jokes which is fine but the logistics of it is weird to think about. Yes it's more likely that aliens wouldn't reproduce the same as is but it's even more likely that they wouldnt be able to reproduce with humans anyways. So I can see why people kinda get weirded out by it if they ponder on it for too long, which you might end up doing if you don't find the scenes funny, where the main joke is "boy is pregnant." My personal problem with it is I feel like it was rushed and they should've cut some of the scenes or concepts to make room for story and the steve pregnancy plotline could've been one of them. Especially considering imo it wasn't that funny anyways.

Spoilers: This is why I hate the “time reset” idea. None of this will happen. Take these 2, she will still come to earth & have her adventures but the reason Steve became a Creep Slayer was because of Jim. All of the moments they had will either not happen or not be the same. Claire fell in love with Jim because of how he lead the rescue of her brother. Now even if they rescue him again, those key moments where they fell in love will be different. The relationships they formed during the shows run will not be the same & that sucks.

I was gonna say the same the whole idea behind “lets reset everything because we lost someone” makes no sense after so much sacrifice by others and losing so much precious and delicately timed parts of reality. Like is toby really worth the lives of steve and ajas CHILDREN like they loved each other and were into this reality while i was heartbroken thats death and having hard times lesson going back and erasing it prevents some good that couldnt have happened otherwise thats not always worth it. I always have thought too that on top of the reset happening making toby the troll hunter made no sense when so many times victory depended on jim being jim exactly so many times and toby proved many times physically it would have been impossible for him let alone with the timeline of fixed events. Its canon he can only use his weapon cuz its magically made light. I know the logic is we dont know how things would have gone in every situation and the future would have been completely different but objectively it seemed with all these factors toby would have maybe ‘caused’ more people sacrificing or getting involved to reach the same outcomes jim would in any given situation

I’m on the episode where the teachers drank the grave dust, where Steve had this huge breakthrough with coach & accepted him as his father figure, no doubt affecting how he was with Aja’s babies. Now it’s all lost since Jim will make sure it won’t happen. Plus we don’t even know how coach got with Steve’s mom, could have been troll related. Like they somehow caused her car to breakdown - coach helps - romance starts - father figure for Steve. But now we won’t have any of that, or possibly a super long delay before they had a breakthrough but it won’t be the same

And like I said imo Toby would hands down be a worse troll hunter in general so like I just think they went back to re do things with worse chances and outcomes than the og time sigh like sometimes stories ending like that can make sense cuz you know it really will end up better and usually doesn’t mean other people won’t meet or in the case of the seven babies won’t exist at all. Even the first few episodes could you imagine how just the fight with draal would go he’d have died just then and tbh Toby didn’t have Jim’s character to show mercy and strength against the entire troll way especially that early on idk I hated that choice.

Feelings and opinions: I was very excited for the movie but it was unexpectedly disappointing I mean Steve who represents the masculine and narcissistic character in the series gets pregnant and acts like a woman I mean really? He was the only reason I completed watching the series after Jim Lake Jr. Then comes the role of the main character (supposedly) Jim Lake Jr. and we see that he was forgotten after the legendary trilogy of Arcadia, 3 Below, and The Wizards and finally the movie, Jim was very weak and hesitant because he did not have an amulet, I mean we all know that he is a troll hunter without the amulet and we saw that in the trilogy and how he embodied the role of the hero and how he went to the Dark Lands alone to fight Gunmar, in addition to the strange and illogical acceleration of events and the death of characters, as if they wanted to end the series quickly, and let's not forget Netflix's ideologies in spreading perverted ideas, and finally Toby's death and then going back in time, not only that but Toby is the new troll hunter? Really? Toby is a great character but he's more suited as a sidekick to the main character, sorry but the ending was sooo disappointing, I finished the Wizards and watched the movie the same day, but it wasn't worth it everything was gone, the real troll hunter for me is just James Lake Jr, Claire and Toby, Steve and Pepperjack, Blinky and Ugggg, all of their stories end for me in the Arcadia trilogy.
