Why someone would have a problem with you telling the truth, I have no clue. I appreciate you and your reviews very much! Thanks Harry

Hi Stacie and thank you so much for your incredibly kind comment. I didn't really think people would be upset for telling the truth, I was just concerned that the video is quite negative, at least I felt negative when talking about the issues when recording. But I think most importantly, I didn't want artist in the US and India to think I was inadvertently having a go at them or saying anything negative toward them as this is absolutely not the case at all. Despite serving as a front line infantry soldier in the British Army, I actually now hate confrontation of any kind, I lived a life where I seen so much human pain and suffering and when I had my injury I didn't want to live like that anymore, so I turned to art. the only things I look forward to apart from being with my wife and children and family is drawing, reviewing art supplies and talking to you guys, making new and amazing friends from all over the world.

Forgive me...this may be a long comment. I was one of the 6000 people who contacted Harry. I saw a few You Tube reviews on these pencils and I thought it was some sort of scam. So I contacted Harry and also Derwent and sure enough Derwent said they were only available in the US and India and to watch the website. I felt Harry's pain doing this review. Believe me he is the real deal - honest and truthful. I am a Brit like Harry and I feel an affinity for Derwent as a British company but also because of where they are based which is the Lake District and is one of the most magical places on this earth. When I first reached out to Harry, it was on the back of having had 6 months of getting into adult colouring in 2015 that stopped in 2016 when a tragedy hit me. In December 2020 I decided I wanted to get into it again. I still cannot get over the shock of how much things have changed in that time. I was glad I stumbled across Harrry and the Art Gear Guide because it has helped me to 'catch up' and I trust his opinion on things. The behaviour of Derwent smacks of how Arteza behaved to him...apalling. And I know this would have hurt Harry more because he is very loyal and I know he believes in Derwents products. I have struggled to like them, spent a lot of money on their products, but I just cannot get to grips with them. I am no artist - I am base level adult colourist and and at the moment I get my stress relief from buying products at a bargain price rather than actually using them...another story! I do not get what Derwent are doing. The budget pencil market, dominated by the Chinese manufacturers has changed the face of art supplies for the amatuer/hobbyist market. Derwent do not seem to get that. They are a company with pedigree - why on earth are they doing this? All that will happen is that people will turn their backs on them and walk away. People like Harry can do far more damage to them than they could ever do to him...and in the day where social media rules...perhaps they need to think about that. I am old generation - social media is a mystery to me and this is about as far as I would venture. However, I have seen how 'campaigns' can have an impact. Derwent, I hope you watch this review and look at the comments. Your 'reputation' is not going to keep you in a market where the competition is already eroding into your profits. Don't bite the hand that feeds you...

You are exactly right. I have collected a lot of derwent products over the last 5 years and always base my buying of anything art supply related on the reviews I know come from trusted artists. Harry has spent a lot of time and energy in his reviews and he is completely honest in everything he has ever said on youtube regarding the products he reviews. I trust him completely. I have a lot of derwent pencil sets but I have also been disappointed in some of their products like the procolor line and sold them off to recoup my money. I'm definitely not buying a single thing from derwent unless I know it's a good product for me in the way I do my art. Their drawing pencils are fantastic and I have enjoyed their sketching sets, the lightfast line and their pastel pencils fill in my sets to complete certain color ranges but I believe their marketing agenda also says alot about them as well.

Harry, your reviews are valued and you have brought up good points concerning Derwent and their policies regarding the Chromaflow pencils. I have these pencils in the US and on the tin they have the British flag on the front and “Made in Britain” on the back. In very tiny letters on the bottom of the back of the tin it reads, “ FOR THE USA ONLY.” Perhaps their marketing team needs to get a game plan for Great Britain as well as the EU and put their “official views” on their website. On the back of the tin, it also states, “PROFESSIONAL QUALITY.” These pencils are very good, but without lightfast ratings and open stock as well as not releasing the product in their own country and Europe....it leads one to believe that the quality is for the crafting market. It is a great little tin of pencils, but many, many people from all around respect your work and opinion. Thank you for your video.

Lots of pencil brands, no-name brands, or Chinese brands that are being dropshipped have the ''premium quality'' or ''professional quality'' stamp. While that's obviously not the case. In my opinion, the three professional pencil brands are Derwent, Caran d'Ache and Faber Castell.

Thank you Harry for this clarification. I first started seeing reviews for Chromaflow coming out of the States about a month ago and immediately went to the Derwent website for information; nada, zilch! I have to say as a British customer, I felt this was less than satisfactory. I don't need Chromaflow pencils, I have enough pencils from Derwent already, but as a Derwent enthusiast I did want to know about their new product, and to get the impression that they valued us so little as to not keep us informed, was disappointing.

I'm in Canada. Chromaflow are available on Amazon Canada. Maybe when launching a new product, they want to launch into the biggest markets first. I would assume that the North America and India are the biggest markets outside of China. I have been thinking about things for a little while. I prefer to buy British or European products than from a country that has extreme human rights issues. The problem I see is that Chinese companies are aggressive with their advertising right now. Many different brand names with almost the same pencils, all made in China. Every time I search for art supplies on Amazon, I get a ton of Arteza and other Chinese brands. And people are buying those cheap pencils. But the pencils are cheap because the workers are poorly paid. I imagine that Derwent is trying to adjust to this new situation and might not have formed yet how they are going to stay in the market. At present, I will say that if there is an alternative, I will not buy Chinese products. I'd rather have fewer items that cost more than support a system that abuses people. I will continue to buy Derwent, until they out-source to China. EDIT: To be clear, it's the system in China that I object to, not individual people.

Thank you for wanting to help but please do not get stressed about this. Take care of yourself and your family (especially that gorgeous dog of yours) and just move on with your excellent and totally honest reviews. Well you know I have to say about this? Goodbye Derwent! There are some Derwent products that I like a lot, like the Derwent Drawing and Colorsoft, and I was really looking forward to the Chromaflow when I initially heard about it, but at that point I, probably quite naively, believed that the difference in release dates would be a matter of weeks. But now... I spent years choosing to almost exclusively buy products by European and British companies, like Derwent, because I live on this continent, and many other people have done the same, and this is what us loyal customers get as a thank you? Well keep your s**t then Derwent, I'll order myself a set of Prismacolors. And no, I certainly will not unsubscribe from your channel.
@TheArtGearGuide3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment and what you have wrote to me in this comment pretty much echos so many of he messages I have received which I think is really sad for Derwent. In reviewing art products I very rarely mention how I feel about that product or about the company, however, there was an exception with Derwent. I mentioned on many occasions that I did have a soft spot for Derwent, that I was proud a British company not only made such amazing art supplies but that at the very foundation of their ethos was their customers, also living very close to the company and being able to visit the company may have helped create that bond. And now, in what appears to be a new direction the company wants to head in, customers don't appear to have featured very high on their list of priorities and the reason I say this is as follows. the statement I have just wrote is quite a strong one and so I have to back it up with substance. If Derwent are simply trying to build their brand in the US and India, they must have known, that as soon as US reviewers, that Derwent sent the products to, was going to have a global reach once online. Now, to know this and not add something, anything at all to their website explaining why people in Canada, Australia, Europe and the UK were not going to be seeing this product for some time shows me they didn't think about their customers in these countries. I can't believe that when they were sat around a table or zoom meeting, that nobody stood up and said "Hay do you think we should publicly make a small statement explaining to our loyal customers why they are not going to get this product for quite some time". I just failed to believe that Derwent was that neglectful toward their customers. I guess the alternative to that however is just as bad in that someone did mention this and the heads at the top laughed and dismissed it, we will do what we want and people will just have to like it or lump it.

@@TheArtGearGuide Thank you for your reply. And yes, what you just said is exactly what my problem with all of this is: It's one thing to release the Chromaflow elsewhere first (even though I do not understand the point at all) but to not even feel the need to explain this move to their other customers, that just isn't ok in my eyes. I really like many Derwent products, I would love to keep buying them, so I sincerely hope that Derwent will make this right, simply by letting us, the customers, know what's up. I don't shop at Michael's in Canada. WAY too expensive. They are an American company though, not Canadian. But where I do shop (from where I am in Ontario) are Above Ground Art Supplies, Curry's, Opus, DeSerres, and Gwartzman's - most of which do carry Derwent products. For some reason people think that Michael's is more economical than going to an art supply store, which is absolute twaddle. Companies test market things in weird ways. I wouldn't worry about it so much.
@TheArtGearGuide3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lonita I knew I wouldn’t explain the issue very well in my video, I think I was just so exhausted from pain and I should have left it another day or so. Lots of people have left the same reply you have about companies marketing products in weird ways etc. Of all the emails I read that I received, not one of them mentioned being upset that Derwent were selling a line of pencils in the US and India, and this is not my issue. When people first reached out to me it was because they thought the pencils were fake and they thought that because Derwent have Zero on their website about the pencils. For me and many others it is not the selling of pencils in the US and India that is the problem, Derwent can sell what they want where they want. But when KZbinrs upload reviews about the product and loyal Derwent Customers in the countries not included start scratching their heads as to why they can’t find anything on Derwents website about the pencils, it is the lack of information that I and many others are annoyed about. When I go to the Caran D’Ache Website, the very first thing I am greeted with is a banner telling me that they have paused sales to the UK because of Brexit. Really short and to the point. I am sad that I can’t by anything directly from the store, but I know why and I know that hopefully the issue will be resolved. If I went to the Caran D’Ache website and they had nothing on there about the UK and Brexit abs I ordered a wonderful set of pencils and then waited and waited only to discover a month later that the pencils had not arrived and only then was told by Caran D’Ache about the pause, I’d be rightly furious. Derwent has for reasons only know to themselves decided to say nothing at all to their loyal customers in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and England (UK) and have allowed them to have the pencils dangled between their eyes by reviewers in the US and India without a single word on why it is happeneing or a comforting word to those customers that they are conducting a marketing test and they will be available to other countries in July or next year or whenever. But they haven’t, that is what people are mainly upset about not their marketing strategy to sell in the US and India. I think I am going to have a long nap 😴 thank you so much for your wonderful comment and for watching the video always love hearing from you.

I myself have 5 different sets of Derwent pencils that you reviewed and I use them but also own quite a lot of other pencils and I use other companies as well so can Derwent afford to assign an agent that seems to consider it less than important to be timely and encourage questions ??? And when all else fails not want a reviewer to share the answers straight from the agent? Seems to me that agent is not a promoter but someone that got stuck with the job and is that cost effective? As in with the price increases if Derwent needs to boost sales and make money it seems they got rid of the wrong people.. I mean something else is going on? Anyway just keep reviewing people trust you and often buy from fair results they can depend on... that being said what’s next on your review schedule?

As I’ve replied to others, for me personally it is not that Derwent wanted to sell this product in the US and India, and other places much later, for me it is the lack of thought and consideration that has gone for their loyal customers in other countries and no just their home of the U.K., but down under, Europe, Canada etc. But thank you as always Laura for your wonderful comment and your support

Sometimes companies will launch products in a specific area because they are doing a trial in different markets, or there are some constraints (manufacturing, regulatory, supply chain, etc) they need to overcome before being able to offer their product domestically. I emailed Derwent to ask about the Chromaflow and they replied with this "Thank you for your email. Chromaflow has not been launched globally yet, so cannot be bought/pre-ordered yet. These pencils have launched in the US and India only at this stage. However please keep an eye on our website/social media channels for any updates. They have been uploaded onto Amazon UK in preparation for launch but have not launched in the UK."

Wow Paul thank you so much for sharing that with us. I think that is pretty vague and also inaccurate, there is nothing on Amazon UK at all relating to Chromaflow. And why would they ship a product via Amazon if they are telling people like me that they haven’t even discussed a launch date for the UK? Unless all the people that have email me have also gone directly to Derwent and they are seeing for them selves what a mistake they have made. Thank you so much mate for sharing this

Hi Jodi. I think the main concerns I had with uploading this video was that it is quite a negative video and appears like I am complaining, at least that is how it felt as I was talking. However in the back of my head I am telling myself that people in the countries listed need to know what is going on. I also thought that people in the US and India watching this video might have construed what I was saying as bashing those countries and or the artist in said countries, which of course this is not the case at all. I was worried that people would think I was throwing my toys out of the pram because the product mentioned was not going to be available in the UK despite the company not that long ago coming out and stating how fiercely proud they were of being a British Company hence the Made in Britain brand, which again is not the case. I know a lot of content creators on KZbin for the most part are bright and cheerful and their channels are like Hollywood studios and then their is mine, dull Irish man, delivering the facts and truth about art supplies and in between going off on tangents talking about a companies history or the weather etc. I know my channel is not very bright and cheerful, but I do try to make sure that the information is relevant and important and so I thought this video being of negative connotation would only highlight this. I must say though I am quite surprised at the response and comments thus far, pleasantly surprised and I am so grateful to everyone for that because the last thing in the world I want to do is cause issues or controversy on the channel. This is why I never ever talk about politics or religion etc because I grew up in a country completely divided on religion and politics, I served in some horrendous environments when in the Army and witnessed enough human pain and suffering to last me 100 lifetimes and so all I want to do is draw and review art products and make friends, nothing more at all.

We live in the USA. My husband wondered if Derwent used an ingredient(s) that are restricted in Europe but are not disclosing what it is. The state of California has stricter regulations than the rest of the USA, so there has to be a special disclosure label for products to be sold in that state, if containing restricted ingredients, such as lead.

Hi! I just started watching your reviews and I really like them. I am from India and Derwent is usually only available online from stores like Amazon. I was obviously very happy when they released the new line in India but that too was available only on Amazon. So I don’t know how much of a difference it made in their market presence. I just checked and it seems that they have the chromaflow available on the UK store as well now. So maybe your input changed their mind after all! Also just wanted to add that most of the Derwent products aren’t available in India as soon as they are released. In fact they come in much much later. For example the graphitint set only became available a few months back and we still don’t have their pastel set and the newer paint pan sets or their mixed media sets.

Faber Castell released a tri-colour (think Koh-i-Noor tri-tones) pencil set in Brazil that I've not seen available anywhere else. They were called Misturinha. I discovered them back in 2016. I'm a little surprised at the commotion these Chroma pencils have generated just because they're only being released in the US and India? Until this evening I had no idea about Derwent presence in India but since the video and my request I have so kindly been emailed by artists in India. If what you found was the case and it is indeed what they are telling me or sorry correction, it is what the agent told me and when I asked the agent if I could forward the email to those who have emailed me, the agent came back and asked me to wait until they spoke with the team as the agent didn’t want to put forward false information. But until I asked it I could show others the email this was exactly what I was being told, so what difference should it make if the email is for me or 6000 plus other Derwent customers. But any way, back to India, according to the emails, Derwent is among the most popular brands in India with the only issue being open stock, other than that all the sets are sold in stores and amazon India. One amazing person actually sent me the stats for Derwent sales I. India via Amazon and Store and it amount to 48% of I think of coloured pencil sales which is huge compared to all the sets sold. As for America, Derwent is just as popular in the US as they are in Canada, Australia and Europe. In fact as I mentioned in the video, most but not all of the artists who provided artwork for the new Derwent tins was US based artists. Two of them Jesse Lane and Lisa and I know that Lisa has a huge following who all of us were over the moon when she was selected to complete the art work and Jesse Lane is one of the most popular Colored pencil artists in the US and likewise when his artwork was used for the lightfast set it was published in almost all Art Magazines. But even given Derwent the benefit of the doubt I still can’t understand how expanding the brand in the US and India meant they couldn’t sell the product in any other countries, I don’t get how this would have hindered their ambition because each country has their own marketing team.

Hi, I don't know what is the reason but I think it could be something to do with the pandemic and difficulties some companies facing with the distribution. For instance if they produce those pencils in India it might be difficult nowadays to send it to UK. I have now idea but I'm just guessing
@TheArtGearGuide3 жыл бұрын
Hi Margo, every pencil Derwent makes is made down the road from where I live. That was how Derwent got the Made In Britain stamp on their products. The Derwent Pencil Museum is in a small town called Keswick which is where the factory making the pencils also used to be, in fact if you ever visit the museum you can still see the old factory. They opened a new factory not that far from the old site. The graphite that they used is mined from the hills in and around Cumbria, every single thing they produce is made in England, I think perhaps the only thing they use that isn’t British is the wood for the pencil barrels, that might be exported from another country. So if the Pandemic did have anything to do with the decision, selling the pencils in the UK would have been the only place they could sell. But my issue has absolutely nothing at all to do with Derwent selling a line of pencils to the US and India and nowhere else, my issue is that they did it and couldn’t be bothered to let their other customers around the world know what was going on. The second India and US reviews uploaded their reviews, Derwent customers all over the world seen those reviews and wanted to know why they couldn’t buy the pencils. Many people went to the website to find info but there was nothing and still is nothing. Some people emailed Derwent and all they got was a generic email telling them that the pencils were being launched in the US and India, information their customers already knew. What they didn’t know was why this was happening and if and when the pencils would eventually be available in their country. As the agent said to me in the last reply I was sent, any time I sent an email to the Agent, the agent forwarded the email on to others higher up at Derwent. I first contacted Derwent about this beginning of Jan. so if the agent is telling the truth and there is no reason to doubt, then Derwent whilst knowing there is confusion and concern among their customers via the emails I was sending, have still taken it upon themselves to remain silent and not let their customers know, two months later.

@TheArtGearGuide3 жыл бұрын
This only refers to the Derwent Chromaflow, all the other pencils are already on sale in all the countries Derwent sell in but the official line from Derwent is that they need to expand their brand in the US and India and in doing so they have developed this ludicrous idea of isolating the other countries for a period of time, how on earth this expands a brand name I will never understand, hence the reason I don't run my own business. I don't see how continuing to sell the product in Canada, Australia, Europe and the UK would hinder building the brand name in the US and India.

Hi Deborah, I seen the title of Lindsays review video and her title was along the lines of what you have just wrote, but I haven't seen the video for the reasons I mentioned in the video. I have no idea what is happening with the Derwent Marketing team. The launch of the Derwent Lightfast was a disaster in my opinion, they were launched over the course of 18 months but when they were first announced we were told that there would be a 100 set. So when we got the 12, 24 and 36 set, we knew there was more to come which I think was really frustrating. Then 6 to 8 months later the 72 set and the same time period later the remaining 100. Derwent even started shipping 72 sets with 36 pencils and an empty try of 36 in the set for those who purchased the first wave of 36 colors. Based on that I would have expected the next launch from Derwent to be as polished as all the others were. But as I mentioned earlier, I find it hard to believe, that when Derwent sat around the table talking about the Chromaflow and launching in the US and India only, that nobody stood up and said something like, as soon as people in the US review the Chromaflow the world will know about them and so we should put a statement on the website keeping our loyal customers around the wold in the loop. But actually, if this did happen then the alternative is just as bad because if someone from marketing mentioned this then someone had to have said no to the idea which inadvertently tells me that no longer are the customers the corner stone of Derwent the way they used to be
@camcab1473 жыл бұрын
Before I listen to your video, Harry, I just want to submit my theory. My guess is that Derwent is upset because we Brits are highly influenced by what we see other KZbinrs use (I see this in FB groups a lot). This is largely products that are available to US citizens and they can purchase cheaply (as I believe the US is where companies like to launch their products to test before unleashing them on the rest of the world). As we tend to desire what our US friends have and find ways of obtaining them, even at huge shipping costs and import duties, Derwent feel we may be ignoring what's right in front of our eyes. So, to make us desire their products, they're giving them to the US with a view to increasing our desire for them, in the meantime, giving us the middle finger. Now I'm going to watch your video and see how paranoid my theory sounds.
@TheArtGearGuide3 жыл бұрын
That never occurred to me, what an excellent thought, this could very well be their tactic. I really hope though that it isn't because if it is, they have taken a huge gamble with their incredibly loyal customers in so much that they might just very well metaphorically give them the middle finger. I really hope nothing like that happens, I love so many of the Derwent products and would hate to see anything disrupt their manufacturing capabilities and thus causing difficulties for us artists to obtain Derwent pencils. Excellent thought
@TheMountainWulf3 жыл бұрын
I don't think they are quite "excluding" places. The word excluding has a negative connotation I just don't believe is there. If their market research says that no one outside of the USA or India wants the product, or not enough to make it profitable, then they aren't going to ship there. It's not really about exclusion. England has the higher quality Derwent pencils, and doesn't need or want the new series. As for Derwent being popular in the USA, no, it's really not. Yes, it is here. It's in some stores. But every store has Primacolor, only the biggest have Derwent. There literally isn't an art store near me that sells them, I'd have to travel more than three hours. Some know of Derwent and their quality, but many don't, and don't want to take such a financial risk on such an expensive brand. Most everyone buys Prismacolor, and the rest buy Faber and that's pretty much it for the common consumer. Sure, there are people that are really into pencils that would know, but Derwent wants more than just the die hard pencil fans. They want the average 'I'm just grabbing whatever brand of pencils has brand recognition, because I don't know brands or care to learn' kind of customers. The Chromaflow is the answer to that, cheaper, and formulated more like what people have been used to, so they'll learn the brand, and move to the nicer stuff later. As for them not wanting you to say something, I'm pretty sure from the sounds of it, that they were about to put out new information. Probably in a few days, they'll have some new info for you, and the info you have now would be too early and no longer entirely correct. There are few brands that have really good intentions, and Derwent has proven itself to be one of those, I say just give them time. Ultimately, I think it's a big fuss about not getting offered something England doesn't even want anyways, which is why they didn't offer it. Perhaps they were wrong and more people than they thought do want it, in which case, as any business will do, they'll start selling in more places.

Paula I am so so sorry, I completely forgot all about NZ and I know that you guys sell quite a lot of Derwent products. I am so sorry, I am exhausted and in pain and forgetting loads of things but this has to be my worst memory loss, an entire country of amazing people. 🤪🤪

Yes! I think its normal faber castell do this a lot, they make low end pencils for some countries and keep the high end at home so I think it is ok. but I'm not sure if I miss something.
@TheArtGearGuide3 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right mate, Faber Castell done the Faber Castell Super Soft for Brazil and then they moved it into other countries but Brazil still have a 50 set where as other countries have the smaller sets.

Prices have been on rise as far as I've seen. Derwent products have been alternatively available in Pakistan (idk why but derwent doesn't directly distribute to all cities) but the set of pencils which was available for Rs 1000 on an art store was about for Rs 2500 6 months later. (Personal experiences, please y'all don't come to me)

These are now available in Canada. Date available March 1, 2021. Only 5 reviews on Amazon Canada, 4 favourable. Two sets 12 and 24, $44.09 for the 24 set. Although it say manufacturer 'Hilroy.' Hilroy is a company in Canada I associate with paper, paper bought for school and a few other school products, they say the brand is Derwent, I am confused. For people in countries that don't have them, check first they just might be opening up the market, also check the manufacturer, email to Derwent and ask why they are not in your country you would like to have them. PS: Also available in Australia but manufacturered by ACCO Brands. Not on Amazon UK. In all these countries although we use the Queen's English they spell colour as color. Guess they are now creating the product for the UK spelling, so you should have them soon.

Harry I can tell you with certainty there's no Derwent distributor in the country of Belize. So if derwent to invest in the country of Belize I would be happy

I’m in the US. I have owned Derwent coloursoft for a decade. They are not my favorite pencils, but that’s on my style of heavy hand. I have the lightfast now they are very nice. I don’t get why they changed their business model.

i’m in the UK and tried to buy the derwent lightfast , i buy the largest sets and have ended up buying caran d’ache and prisma colour imported, it’s sad a UK company can’t get their act together... people won’t be patient they are customers and will just go to another brand equal or better like i have .

I recently purchased them after reading positive reviews. Generally I like them. Colours are beautiful and pencils themselves are very soft, wchich I like. However the quality of wood is soooo dissapointing, horrible tbh. Couple of them already broke and I am sharpening them really gently. I will use them and probably enjoy for as long as they last, but because the quality of barrels is so bad, I will not be re-purchasing them. If I knew the quality of barrel is so bad, I wouldn't buy them in the first place.

This is what I found in my testing of them, before they came out with the larger set they sent me a 24 set and the quality of the barrels was shocking. I have no idea what is going on at Derwent, I don’t know if they are cost cutting and using cheaper materials or if a certain wood is needed for a softer core, I really don’t know but I am baffled. A year before COVID Derwent had an influx of new people and I don’t know if they were brought in to ramp up profits or improve the brand I’m not sure, but whatever the reason, from about that time, things changed. Derwent started selling pencil cases that hold 15 pencils for a couple hundred pounds, a brass 15cm collapsible ruler for an extortionate amount of money and stuff like that. I think and this is only my opinion, but I think someone thought Derwent should be run like Caran D’Ache but the loyal, long term customers of Derwent seen through the change.

Thanks for your transparency about your experience with Derwent. I don't understand why a company would not expand their brand in their own country, as well as "new" markets. And then not be able to answer why they are doing this. I am one that prefers to buy just 🇺🇸 products. My curiosity piqued about their drawing pencils and may have purchased. But with this recent product and the way it lauched ( and the vagueness surrounding it), I truly lost interest. Tfs

Maybe Derwent is thinking moving the manufacturing to US or India. My other guess is that someone heavily influenced by corporate america has gained power at Derwent.

Thank you so much for this video. I don't understand Derwent but thanks to Amazon, we can order Chromaflow everywhere in the world. This make no sense... You seem very tired (like me). Are you OK ?

Hi Cynthia thank you so much for your comment and I really appreciate your concern. I know it is going to sound really stupid, but I didn't get much sleep debating with myself as to whether or not is was a good idea to A) let the agent know about the number of emails I received and then B) if I should upload the video. Throughout the night I made and edited three different videos, making sure that I wasn't sounding too complaining or too negative. Also I have been in a lot of pain with my back and it just frustrates the life out of me sometimes given the restrictions it imposes on me. I know it sounds daft, but because I care deeply about you guys who watch my videos, comment, help create a community, welcome and befriend me, it worries me that I offend or upset any of you. If I didn't care about any of you it wouldn't bother me at all what I upload and I would just upload what I want and tough on the viewers if they didn't like it, but that is so far from how I feel it is crazy.
