“Who Shot Ya?” was originally recorded in 1994 with Keith Murray on the 2nd verse. It was recorded during the “Ready To Die” sessions but ultimately left off the album. A second verse by Biggie was recorded and Keith Murray was taken off it still in 1994. In February 1995, Puffy pulled up the track, recorded adlibs and released it as an alternative B-Side to special rereleases of the “Big Poppa/Warning” single, which had originally been released in ‘94. All respect to him, I've always been a big fan since first hearing him on the 'The Who's The Man?' movie soundtrack CD. I don't remember where I was when I heard that Big died, but I DO remember where I was when I read the article about him going to L.A., because that was the moment that I knew it was a wrap.
