Same with public cameras, yes, it's being recorded, but unless something was filed and they have to produce it, it's just there in archives. Now, no idea how they got this tape. Many recordings are deleted after 90 days. Its so freaking expensive to keep videos, we are talking about gigabytes worth of storage. My ignorant guess is, it was recovered from Diddy. He secured the tape when it happened. No hotel is storing video data from 10 years ago. Only safe place is the cloud and it's just not economical for them to do that. AWS storage ain't cheap.

Yes, it's disturbing. However, in the grand scheme of the world, it's nothing compared to what other people go through. Although she got punched and kicked, she still walked away with $20-$40M lately so it's not like she didn't get her revenge. She will live a nice comfortable life and her kids and family will be set. When people are getting there hands and legs chopped off in Haiti and Africa and people are getting kidnapped and tortured throughout Asia, this is terrible but put this is perspective in terms of what happens around the world. What's worse - Cassie getting kicked and punched or your family getting kidnapped and their organs harvested in China? All of it is terrible but my point is that at least Cassie was able to get justice in the form of a wheel barrel of money for Brother Love's actions. The people in Haiti, China and other places will never see justice for much worse crimes. So although I feel bad for her, I feel worse for people who lost family members so some scumbag can make money selling a heart and kidneys.
