I am really pleased with how it has turned out. I would like to thank you for teaching me how to paint such a beautiful painting 💕💕

Hi Cinnamon! Thank you so much for all you do for us. You are an amazing artist - but that's not all!! You are an ART THERAPIST, Amazing Coach and Counselor. You truly have the gift of mercy and compassion and have been a tremendous blessing to me over the years, reaching those of us a little weak in spirit and providing encouragement and confidence. It's so interesting because I was gridding a piece the other day and had an epiphany very similar to what you shared in this tutorial. Basically, life is like a painting. Sometimes, we can only focus on one square at a time, one day at a time, one step at a time, one challenge at a time. Some days, only one minute at a time--no matter what may be happening around us..... Sometimes, we see an image in our mind of what something "should" look like finished and approach the challenge as a "whole" instead of one square at a time and we feel overwhelmed and frustrated and may even give up. Art teaches us so much about life. My art journey began many years ago when I watched you for the first time at a very dark time in my life and you rekindled my love for art that had been buried along with my self esteem. A series of events had left me feeling hopeless and that my life was over. Your videos have been a very large piece of my own emotional, spiritual and artistic healing. I live in Oregon and hydrangeas are gorgeous due to the rainfall. I have a huge one on the side of my house in memory of my grandma. This piece reminds me of my grandma's house as she had one that reached her roof! I have fond memories of spending time amongst the beautiful puffs of color as a child. This little girl is a flash back of a bright spot in my childhood of warm days baking banana bread and watering the hydrangeas with my loving grandmother. God Bless and THANK YOU BOTH!!!

I love your personality and your paintings! Thank you for being genuinely and unapologetically you! Question, you took the time to draw the grid and then it was gone once you wet the canvas. Was the grid only necessary for drawing the girl? The rest is less important?

funny how her mom doesn't worry about heat on the paint.
@TheArtSherpa4 жыл бұрын
NOPE mom never worries about that, or fumes, or any of that product stuff, . Most the time it's fine she uses top pro products and only once has a varnish off gas gotten her a bit sick. But back when I worked in her studio doing clean up and set up I spent a lot of time on studio safety. More time saving brushes LOL. Plus I went to art school and that's a big thing they drill into us material science and studio safety. I Could not have gone to art school without my mom. She made sure I got to go. Keep in mind my mom really expects her students to read labels, follow label instructions and be responsible about their stuff. So Just soak up her techniques and her natural sense of color and always read the labels
