This is INCREDIBLE!! So acrylics are just as good as oils? just as versatile? I am learning oils and never painted before and wondering if I should expand to include acrylics?
@TheArtSherpa2 жыл бұрын
They both have their own set of pros and cons. You just have use them and see which works for you. What I like about acrylics is they dry faster, but if you are used to oils, that could a draw back for you until you get used to it. And there are products that make drying time slower and blending more like oils, but will still dry much much faster than oils. In days instead of the length of time for oils. 💝

Question...is there a difference between painting a realistic eye/anything and photo realism?
@TheArtSherpa2 жыл бұрын
Yes there can be. Photo Realism is Always realistic but realism is not always Photo Realism. Photorealism isn't a higher form of realism. It's only about creating things so precisely that they can be confused with a photography. Realism is a concern for fact or reality. Photorealism and Hyperrealism. Photorealists are artists that create works that are difficult to tell from a photo. Hyperrealism is an evolution of the realists movements Their artists insert narration and feelings into their their works adding to the details and skills of Photorealism.

@TheArtSherpa2 жыл бұрын
Even though I break everything down I know being a beginner can mean lots if different things. 1 hoot is the easiest 3 hoot is the most challenging. They all are for beginners though just at different places in their art skills

@@TheArtSherpa I’m getting started today. I went to hobby slobby ( my goofy way of saying it) and stocked up on paint n brushes. I’ve been grappling with the measurements for 24 hours! Lol so this meant a great deal to me.” I would also like to add that YOU got me started 5 years ago!! I have done a few of your painting Tutorials and I stopped painting for almost a year. Both of my brothers died in 2021 and I went flat” but I’m back with the living now and I was struggling with inspiration. So I was like “ The art Sherpa!! Of course!!!♥️” so I’ve done the back ground and will start today hopefully. I just want you to know YOU are my beginning and I love and respect you highly for the amazing gift you having been giving all of us that are creatives. Thank you!! From the bottom of my heart Thank you!💕
