I own this Grex model w/ the top feed, an Iwata neo and a Harder Steenbeck CRS…They all serve a purpose but the Grex is for blasting large ares of paint and priming. 4 years and it still works great

Excellent review of the Grex Tritium. I bought the pistol grip TG a few years ago and I use it to spray larger surfaces; works great! I always wanted to pick up the XGi and never quite got around to it. One day I walked into a Goodwill store, and inside the front counter case, to my amazement, was a XGi with accessories. It looked like it had been used briefly to paint possibly some greasy red makeup. I grabbed it for $15! After a thorough cleaning & lube it worked great! I picked up the .3mm Clear Sight cap, highly recommended, & the airbrush case came complete with the G-MAC Quick Connect/Micro Air Control Valve among its accessories. The Clear Sight cap reminds me of what Paasche calls the Paint Picker Aircap for their iconic VL3 airbrush. Really minimizes paint accumulation on the needle/nozzle. The MAC valve helps a little with its tendency to put out a lot of paint. Another nice thing I learned about the Grex airbrushes, from a dealer at DC's recent NOVA Open, is that the needle/nozzle combos are interchangeable between the Tritium Pistol grip and Genesis XGi airbrushes. Thanks Edward. That is incredible. I have never had any luck finding anything like that at Goodwill. An awesome pickup for $15- congrats! Yes, the infinity 24 came in last week. It has been a lot of fun to paint with and test out. I'm really loving how it sprays detail at distance. Still need another week or 2 with it and then will get the video up. Very good review of a nice looking airbrush and Grex have a very good reputation. I've been thinking about getting a trigger style airbrush just because they look so cool. I don't get to paint as much as I'd like and don't really need another airbrush (I've got two) but like my model trains, it's never really a question of NEED. Cheers, mate.

I have GSI Creos Mr. Airbrush PS-275 0.3mm. I can pretty much manipulate the brush to do pretty good detail. Mine is pretty much center, not like the flaw you showed on the grex. Not good, considering the price point on the grex. Coming from the spray world is a must, to have the spray fan center. Not so much on the round cap. Great review, every time I have wanted to look into to this brand. i see reviews like this great review you just did, that prevents me on investing in one. For the price point I must say the creos ps 275 would be the better choice, as you can get 2 and some change for the price of on this grex, Thanks on another great review! have a great weekend Mark!

My apologies for the late reply JC- long weekend!! I think grex makes a very nice airbrush and I really enjoy using the Xgi. Hopefully I'll have some time to get in touch with Grex over the next few weeks to see if they can offer a replacement for the nozzle or nozzle cap. I agree with you on Creos. They make some of the best airbrushes out there! I'll 100% make a video on the ps-275 in 2025. It's an awesome airbrush. Hope you have a great week

Apart from one or two hiccups it appears to be a solid tool. A minor gripe I see is the flat-headed trigger pivot. If adjustment is required, a piece of masking tape on the screwdriver should prevent scratches in the chrome when the blade (inevitably) slips. My long-winded way of saying a socket headed pivot would've been appreciated. Cheers!

Can I ask where you are purchasing your Medea Comart paint? I was pretty well stocked until recently and CoastAirbrush is the only place I can find with reliable open stock

I heard that it was discontinued! It was a great paint so I'm sad to see it go. That's why I switched over to schmincke aero colors. I bought it as a replacement for com-art, and I ended up liking more than both com-art and createx illustration. I just wish it was cheaper.

I highly recommend you try the Gaalheri airbrushes. Especially the trigger airbrushes. They are really good for their price especially the spare parts.
