Don't worry about self driving technology. Imagine owning a Tesla. It sounds nice until something breaks down as eventually happens. In Miami those who own Teslas can never have it repaired. The Tesla dealer can't even repair their own cars. Only an engineer can repair a Tesla. Mechanics can't. You need computer engineering knowledge to repair them. Nobody is talking about the skill base and the repair costs of self driving technology when it actually comes. That's the canary in the coal mine.

Unless you have practical knowledge in the technology, I don't know why anyone would take your word for it.

He drives with pride in what he does and i know how that feels. Drivers take pride in what you do and if you don't have pride then something has to change. Don't stay in a job where you are not appreciated or respected. I have had work for companies that treated me like family and that would help you when problems arise. Drive for a small company not the big companies that look at you as a number.

I finally learned how to properly blindside when I started flat bedding. Key is to practice with an empty bed and you can learn what trailer is really doing in ways you can't as easily grasp in a dry van or reefer . But once you learn you can easily do it with dry van and reefer . I still avoid it whenever possible but I have the confidence to do it when necessary. A lot of drivers , especially old school , don't like Miami. Personally I love going to Miami. It's one of the easier cities to get around and there authenticate Cuban restaurants tucked away everywhere. I go to places that don't have an English menu and just point at an item . Sure it's a coin toss but the adventure is usually rewarding LOL .

As soon as I got my rear started down the alley the cars saw a wide enough opening on my blind side while I was still jacked, running over my triangles. Well it took awhile to get a thinking car to stop the flow so I could continue. The alley was skinny no way to open the cab door. Cost me my triangles LOL.
