My perspective on Govt intervention is its not for the people’s welfare that the Govt is imposing price ceiling. If it really were, they should actually focus on solving issues relating to Liqour, Transport and Health industry which is more important than Cinema. I feel their focus is to not let more money circulate in the cinema industry, because our State has long history of actors disrupting internal politics. If cinemas were allowed to charge whatever price they wish to, then the collections we see now could jump by atleast 30-40% which will have a direct impact on salaries as well. Now when an actor is bloody rich with cash and fame, he becomes a threat to the political establishment. Not that the actors are poor now, but increased income is one big factor. This price ceiling is one way the Govt maintains checks and balances on cinema.

I don't think actors are any threat to the politicians. It's always the opposite. Politicians have power and influence that actors don't, regardless of how much money they make. Indha price cap affect panradhu actors or producers ah illa. Theatre owners and audience ah dhan affect pannudhu. Theatre owners are unable to make enough money from ticket sales and audience are faced with expensive food and beverage options plus parking fees and also a ton of ads.

Bangalore the parking charges starts from 50 for bike per hr and 100 for car per hr. PVR and Innox ad time for a movie itself is more than an hr. Snacks we shouldn't even think about it. Family of 4 in Bangalore visits PVR for a movie require at least 3000.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has highest number of theatres in India. Double the number than Tamil Nadu. And ticket prices in multiplexes minimum 300 plus their government will gives hikes to movies. Recently even devara got 90-120 rupees hike. This alone doesn't make their film 1000cr.Their films have market in Hindi belt as they do good promotions there. That we can't tell anything they cracked the Hindi belt for their films. Hindi belt tickets rates are even more higher in many places starting itself 1000 are there. These are the reasons for high collections of Telugu films. And another thing in USA Telugu people are more. That region also contributes more to them

Watched 3 movies so far in Oct in theatres… Lubber Pandhu, Meiyazhagan and Vettaiyan(all in Phoenix). I go by bicycle so no parking fee, I never buy anything from the multiplex counter (actually I don’t eat those junks!). But those ads are not in my control, however I don’t buy anything attracted from ads. Only thing is the conveyance fee of 20 rs per ticket because of online booking I pay extra🙄

Only thing i could think of was easier plumbing. As for pre show and interval ads, Velinaadla kuda ekkachakama ads odum because theatres don't make much money from ticket sales. Disney movies ah irundha about 60 to 70% of ticket revenue Disney ku pogudhu nu oru issue irundhuchu. So I feel theatre owners are forced to find other means of revnue like ads, expensive food and beverages etc. to make up for the low income from ticket sales. Foreign la interval kedayaadhu so movie experience break aagaadhu but I've noticed something else. Food and beverages cost about the same as regular restaurants or outlets. Theatre ambience porutha varaikum namma ooru theatres ah adichukave mudiyadhu. Aana idhellam thaandi I feel you missed the elephant in the room. I usually watch movies at Palazzo or PVR in Anna Nagar or Jazz. Moonulayum picture and sound quality were so bad. Volume is too high. Picture appeared dull and blurred. Adhey padam naa Bangalore PVR la paathen.. appo dhan purinjudhu namma theatre la picture quality evalo mosama irundhuchu nu! Seri andha oru padam dhan apdi nu paatha aduthu naa paatha naalu padamum idhey kadha dhan. OTT la andha padangal paakrapo avalo nalla irundhuchu but theatre la dull and blurred visuals and volume too high and mixing ellam romba mosama irundhuchu. I feel this deserves a video.

I am so upset with luxe , phoenix bro. I mean for all the Marvel , Dc movies and other Hollywood movies with great hype , they release them only for 3D imax. Earlier like 3 yrs ago they used to release them both in 2D imax and 3D imax as well. The price for the ticket of 3D imax is around 550 - 600₹
