Great info Brenton again. Heart breaking to see weeds and the like popping up . They do your head in . How’s the back yard and the putting green and the edges growing they should be nearly 100% there now or close to it

Hmm the weeds are to be expected in all honesty, Not to mention it creates content. The green isn't much of a green these days due to my new work schedule I simply cannot give it the constant mowing it requires, Once it get more primo zoysia planted ill be good to go again but for now the green is a brown 😜

Very interesting the difference between the two turf varieties in the weed department. Do you get many weeds down near the road?
@theaussielawn4 ай бұрын
Not really mate the weeds are just a result from the santa and being a little less dense and more light hitting the soil. its no biggie and gives me some content 😜

Great video. I'm just wondering is that a hint of fungus on the tiftuf just spotted a few rings.. how did you combat that, and what do you feel is the best way to prevent
@theaussielawn4 ай бұрын
Yea mate there is some fusarium patch in it, It will go away as the weather warms up I have given it a hit of fungicide. Its just going to be one of those things going forward unfortunately

Hey mate, very informative video. I have a solo 441Li sprayer and love it, just looking at it wand, is that pressure gauge adjustable? If so where do you get that from? As I write this mine is just the standard wand that came with it, am looking to upgrade to the double brass one in the future Also great tip on the light breeze, never knew that and always tried to spray when it was dead calm to avoid any drift. Will now be aiming for a few kms of wind!
@theaussielawn4 ай бұрын
The 417 use to come standard with the pressure gauge but I don’t think the new ones do mine is busted and don’t work any more but it’s not super necessary I don’t think . It wasn’t adjustable as such but the 417 has a 2 speed pump. The brass lance is awesome and I highly recommend it .
@tobywoods79384 ай бұрын

I have couch, and it is so hard to find information on couch, that isn't someone making a video on how to get rid of couch. I have a broad leaf grass in my lawn, it has a wire type root system, but thicker than what google shows me as "wiregrass", its like some gross summer grass. It's about 30% of my lawn now, how do i get rid of that? I cant find any selective herbicides to get rid of it. I've tried so much to get rid of it, but it just stays :(

Question regarding pre-emergent - if I want my buffalo to spread this summer (I have a lot of gaps to fill in), will applying pre-emergent stop the roots on the spreading stolons from rooting down? Just thinking if I should avoid it this season. Cheers
@theaussielawn4 ай бұрын
Yes it will stop rooting down unfortunately, Pre emergent is best used on lawns that are fully covered over. You could try something like oxapro instead

I'm a contactor and want to get your thoughts on my herbicide application method. For bow and arrow, I'm using a yellow Teejet AIXR nozzle (coarse) in a boom setup (x2 nozzles). I use Wetter 600 as my surfactant. What are your thoughts on applying B&A first thing in the morning when there's dew on the leaf? I've read evidence online that a dewy leaf can sometimes enhance the product effectiveness. Have you ever done a comparison with a dry vs dewy leaf? Or seen results elsewhere that can confirm?
@theaussielawn4 ай бұрын
Hey mate, thats a great question, In short yeah I see no issue applying in the dew in fact I do it with iron and PGR the dew can help carry the chemical over the target weeds better and given the fact the water volume rates vary so much on most broad leaf labels I see no problems with it
@TPGMatt4 ай бұрын
@@theaussielawn Yeah thought so. Cheers mate.
@benr77743 ай бұрын
I totally agree with @mielkamielka552. Could you do a double pass in different directions with the herbicide if the weeds are really (haven't been treated in a long while)?
@theaussielawn3 ай бұрын
@@benr7774 yeah you can. Providing your getting the correct amount of chemical applied over the area you could go over it 3 or 4 times on what ever direction that floats your boat 😎

I sprayed bow and arrow twice 2 weeks apart and it hasn't even touched the weeds hey. Labels says it takes up to 6 weeks to kill the weeds. Sounds like a long time.

Hmmm something doesn't seem quite right there, Are the weeds your trying to control covered by Bow and Arrow on the label ? Ive actually not ever used the product so i cant comment on how long it should take to see a result
