Hey guys this was a great overview of your experience. A coffee station in the Park Store would be a plus for us 😁 ☕ Your reaction to the vault toilet 😆 Whaat those "Lakeview" sites are false advertising 🤣 I like that people feel comfortable paddling on the lake even when motor crafts are allowed too.

Another great campsite exposition in anther beautiful area. I'd love to get out on the water. Lol ah good ole vault toilets. The smelliest of fine toilets. That hilltop campground has my interest. I love the heavy forested areas. I love Kayaking, so much fun.

Lol 😂 your reaction when seeing the vault toilet 😂 looks a bit gross 😬😅 The lake area is so beautiful! Great that you can hire kayaks and SUPs 🤗 The beach area looked so festive with all the colourful umbrellas and towels and people in the water. We can’t wait for summer here in the Southern Hemisphere 😅 Great review of the campground yet again! You’re so good at this 🤗

We just got back from Bass Lake. First week after labour day. The park was very empty and weather was great. We booked for 3 days but left after 2 because of the road noise. The sites are big and lovely, but the noise 😩. The park trails are nice but very short. We tried the scout park trails nearby but the noise from hwy 11 so close wasn’t relaxing at all. I think I can cross Bass off my list of parks to return to. I didn’t realize road noise was going to a problem for me.
@TheAverageTourist2 жыл бұрын
I think I'd try one more time to see if an interior site would be better. But agree... the noise from the road is loud. Too bad though, the rest of the park was pretty great!

Good review. We stayed here for one night and weren't too impressed. Maybe we got there on the wrong day but we found it to be crowded, moderately noisy, and were baffled by the decision to put the post with the site number well into the open entrance to the site, making backing in a lot more difficult than it needed to be. It didn't help that we found lots of dog poop on our site courtesy of the very inconsiderate previous camper. We were scheduled to stay a couple of nights but made alternate arrangements and bugged out first thing in the morning. I can't see us ever going back.
@TheAverageTourist2 жыл бұрын
That's too bad! With an experience like that ibcould see not wanting to return. I guess we had a good weekend. But I agree... some of those site posts were not in great spots to park a trailer or vehicle. Any other park recommendations?

@@TheAverageTourist Our favourite by far is Neys on the north shore of Lake Superior. We like Algonquin but it's really hard to get in there these days. Killbear, Chutes, Inverhuron, and Macgregor Point have all been really good experiences for us.
