I paused the video on the build-view of the las DW to count the hard points, saw that thy were all C-ERLLs and I just knew it'd blow up, because I field-tested a Banahee with half the number of ERLLs and it blew up, it was as well cooled as possible and on a cold map, so thinon Terra Therma, it was certain to Core-melt, so no irprise to see but awesome anyway, an B33f rection was fun to hear, look ike he jumpped off hi chair, his headset flew from his head and his mind was blown away :)

Why use LB-2Xs instead of regular AC-2s? An LB spreads the damage the farther away the shot goes, so why not the solid slug of a standard AC instead? NOTE: My favorite ballistic is the LB-10X AC (Clan and IS), which has amazing heat, cooldown, DPS, coverage, space, weight and shots-per-ton/ammo compared to any other AC. (Gauss has more damage per shot and less heat, but fewer shots, longer cooldown and more weight and size.) So, using five AC-2s (which amounts to the same- 10 dps) makes little sense to me ASIDE FROM the shock-and-awe approach of rattling someone's mech around... which can now be done with RACs.

A way you can fire the Dakka Wolf that quickly without a macro is to set 2 weapon groups and put all 6 guns in each of them, one on chain fire, one on group fire. Fire the chain group very quickly by clicking as fast as you can, then just hold down the group fire one right afterwards. It works perfectly for me.

Ironically he barely scratched that mech- he only did *_51_* damage the entire match... which makes TheB33f an incredibly inefficient _and_ overpowered KSer.

I don't think that was a KS at all, I think it just killed the enemy so fast that it didn't have time to do massive damage.

***** ...except he did _exactly the same thing_ almost a year earlier when he alpha'd in a Nova for the first time and only did, like, _5_ damage before he overheated and exploded. The only difference is in the Nova he didn't get the kill.

a bit late, but essentially. His Alpha strike (firing all weapons at once for the highest burst damage) caused enough heat to kill his mech from cold, but because lasers do their damage over time, and they stop firing if you die he only got a micro burst fraction of his damage off. Now if he could pull of this trick with er ppc's, you could probably suicide bomb someone from extreme range, which would be hilarious.
