There's a lot of videos that just show putting the trap down without showing how they load and engage the trap. I appreciate you going into detail.

I used 1/8" wire cable with crimp fittings to make the same cable setup. Marshmallows worked great in warm weather. In cold weather the marshmallows get hard when they freeze and the racoons might claw off some of it, but not enough to pull on the catch release. I'm going to cat food in the winter months. Rural King has a nice selection of traps where I live

I used marshmellows for bait. They worked great.

I've had two of these traps disappear. The first, I may have anchor incorrectly. The 2nd one i chain anchored around a giant tree root and the trap is gone. I don't understand. I have a tall wood fence. I don't think a human is climbing over my fence just to steal these. HELP...if you can. 😔

@@mattm.3562 can't place a type on it, but it chewed the clasp that it was connected to. Unbelievable!

Make the cable setup that he shows. Your traps and catch won't go anywhere. I used 1/8" galvanized steel cable with aluminum crimp fittings.

I have a question. I've baited with canned cat food. When I came back, the bait was gone, but the trap wasn't triggered. I tried marshmallows, and got the same result. What am I doing wrong?
@TheUrbanHunterz9 жыл бұрын
Smear peanut butter ON the trigger, so hell pull that thinking its something good.
@CountryBuff089 жыл бұрын
thanks. i'll try that.
@TheUrbanHunterz9 жыл бұрын
CountryBuff08 Better yet put an apple slice under the trigger that's to big to slide around the trigger. Then your assured a catch.
@Rebekahdavignon9 жыл бұрын
CountryBuff08 I've had real good luck with chicken skin (raw or cooked). I make sure that there's some under the trigger. The problem with peanuts and peanut butter is that you attract squirrels and it's illegal to trap them.

@ Blake Williams you do understand bobcats are endangered right? Why you shooting things that don't need to be shot. Is it really that boring down in the southern swamps that all you can think of doin is shooting shit. A bobcat is the same as a house cat and yotes are the same as a domestic dog. Would you shoot a cat or dog? If so then your demented. Yotes are dogs and bobcats are cats. They're dif species but bobcats and house cats are both felines and yotes and dogs are both canines they are the same no diff except yotes and bobcats live in the woods
@TheCafurrow10 жыл бұрын
Bobcats are not endangered bud. Also if cats and dogs where still a wild animal and not pets yes we would be hunting them. Same with a cow or horse or pig or anything else like that.

I've just got to ask, are you this stupid in REAL life? Hmm?
@Goldi-Luc5 жыл бұрын
They kill our livestock. Cats and most dogs do not.
@franklinpacheco318311 жыл бұрын
Yotes do not hunt deer nor can they because the coyote weighs like 35 lbs maybe 40 while the deer is 100+ lbs. explain how that would happen. Yotes eat fawns and injured/sick/old deer. And yotes do not hunt in packs as people believe. They live in family groups but usually wander off individually to hunt and find water. They are pack animals but not pack hunters. Why would 3 or 4 yotes be needed to take down a rabbit or squirrel? They just don't hunt in packs
@okiejack548410 жыл бұрын
I have observed a pack of yotes chasing full grown deer.

@yonikatz13955 жыл бұрын
A single coyote can easily kill a fawn and predation (mainly from yotes) is the biggest cause of fawn mortality. And yotes can and do Hunt in packs and can take down full grown deer.
