Awesome history video! I always loved the Pantera and Mangusta. Just classic body lines of their era. The Guara may not have been as odd duck looking if it wasn't for that wacky spoiler at the rear of the greenhouse. BTW...the president of that country was hosting a lot of those ex-Germans in an attempt to build his own Air Force.

All that and didn’t even drive one!?! The beer-thirty line was good, lol. Subbed 😊 I’ve got a ‘72 pre-L Pantera myself. Cool car. No better display of the mechanicals and powertrain in any other road going car!

I've also got a '72 pre-L. I've owned her for about 25 years and had it modified and restored several years ago to make it more potent (500+hp), more reliable, more comfortable and more luxurious. I now drive it more than at any previous time in my ownership. It still looks so contemporary and fresh. My next door neighbor has one that he bought new in 1973 for under $10,000. Still beautiful even 51 years later.

Still amazing to think that these were sold through Lincoln-Mercury. And that they were powered by the same relatively simple, easy to maintain (or modify) workhorse Ford V8 that could be had in anything from a Mach 1 Mustang to a Galaxie 500 to a pickup truck to a wood-paneled family station wagon. I always felt the Pantera was an Italian exotic, muscle car and sports car all in one stunningly beautiful package. The styling has aged incredibly well and still looks fresh, yet classic, even today.

First of all… the Guara is awesome! Secondly, the last car Alejandro worked on was the Bigua (which by the time it went into production, was renamed the Mangusta, which after another swindle from Alejandro was taken over by the cars main investor, Kjell Qvale, and sold as the Qvale Mangusta).

Been one of my favorite cars since I was a kid of 8 or 9 and there was a yellow-orange one often parked by what was then a neighborhood video and pinball arcade. (How very early '80s, right?) Even back then you didn't see them every day.

Hi! Came here after Googling Isabelle Haskell. There seems to have been real Amore between them. It seems that Isabelle Haskell was a granddaughter of William C. Durant, co-founder of General Motors. ""She hailed from horse racing money" I don't know, but maybe horse power money was involved🙂 Subscribed! Best Greetings from Sweden.

In my research it never mentioned that! Only that her father was a breeder. How cool. Love that connection to Durant. Thanks for enjoying!
