Firstly, I didn't even think of the collection of technical moves covered in the 5 minute series, but additionally who but Colin teaches it so well....extremely grateful you're there in my corner.

I will definitely use Fades,Crossfades and Slow Downs now that I know about them. Much faster than automating a volume fade out with Automation which I have done in the past at the end of a song

Thanks Colin. I wasn’t quite appreciating the usefulness of cross-fades. Slow down is cool. Not sure it fits my music, but who knows. I’m really happy I made the move to Logic.

I haven't tried the slow-down function yet, but I certainly will. The quick fade and crossfade functionality is going to be great. It was a feature I had in Cubasis for iPad, but sadly didn't in GarageBand (or at least I wasn't aware of it).

Great stuff .... I had to do a google deep dive to get my fading going as it doesn't work with flex time enabled on the track or if there are multi takes on a track which need to be flattened first apparently....got it sorted after these adjustments. Can't wait to play with the speed up/slow down option!

And if you have multiple regions on a track that need crossfades, you can highlight them and press Control/Option/X for batch crossfades (configurable under Region dropdown). Super fast.
