I’m Belizean, I make Chimole all the time, I’ve never heard of it with ground beef. That’s relleno. Also, traditionally, the black of the recado comes from burning bread, not from peppers. Not sure if this is just a different style or what, just the way I know it from my parents and grandparents.

Looks yummy but its d first time i see it been done with red recado and ground beef or pork. I believe in d north of Belize we use only black recado(spicy).

Martha Correa I don’t eat pork and so does most of my family so we use ground beef. I use both red and black recado.

I loved this soup when you made it for us. I am not a fan of paprika as well unless I put it in my Paella. Yum, yum yum to this beautiful dish that we have been lucky enough to try from a true Belizian awesome cook. xo
