Yes this is the most comprehensive tutorial for the R60 mini countryman battery replacement. And as they stated check your existing battery for the correct Ah size. Just open that little panel and take a peek, most are also AGM so be mindful of that. They are a bit more expensive but they last a long time. My battery lasted 8 years in the mini, H6 (48] AGM 70Ah 760 CCA.

Remember you need to register you battery as discussed in the video. You can tell it need to be registered by the extra wires and connectors on the negative cable as shown in this vehicle. Some MINIs of the same years do no use the system and the negative cable will be a simple black wire.

I need to disconnect my battery to remove the JBE for repair. Is their anything special with just disconnecting then reconnecting the same battery a few days later? Thanks for the video!

Some vehicles will require various computer and user defined resets that could range from a simple clock or radio reset to things like power window resets, steering angle resets, etc. We suggest that you refer to the vehicle owner’s manual or a service/repair manual for the vehicle to be sure.
