You can use phlegm as bait, I put one in the middle of my pig pen in a little fence to keep the pigs out so the ghosts will kill them as werepigs during full moons and also to make it easy to start a pig civil war other days. Of course ANY food item will do including rot so phlegm is not very useful but it does have 1 use. Edit: protip; build your pig farm in a graveyard w/ bait in the middle and on full moons the pigs who stayed out trying to eat the bait will become wherepigs and keep mindlessly trying to eat it, AND the graves will spawn ghosts that will kill the wherepigs.

I have a tip, if your wearing marble armor, you can hit it 7 or 8 times before you can try to run off, but with the marble on you can run just fast enough so that it can't hurt you and this makes everything a whole lot easier

Phlegm would be good to create sticky traps or sticky bombs which could slow down enemies also it could be built around the base to slow down hound attacks or something. I can also see use for it as a fly trap which could trap butterflies and bees which the player could harvest time to time. I believe Klei has some plans with it otherwise it would not be in the game.

Using a boomerang on the Koala can agro it immediately if you don't have the time or patience. The boomerang requires a plank, some silk and 1 charcoal.

id like to mention how easy it is to deal with the varg, especialy if you cant fight, just get a walking cane and luer it near a boss, then use a road with your walking cane to out run the varg, the varg will be out of reach pretty quickly and will auto agro on the boss.

One little tip about hunting is to use a boomerang, that way you won’t have to chase koelephants or whatever you’re hunting to the edge of the map. Use it once and they’ll come running and they’re simple to make too. One board + one spiderweb + one charcoal = a boomerang.

In my first DsT multiplayer experience, me and my friend hunted down a koalaphant and when we finally tracked it down we had to wait for it to fall asleep because we were too slow... Also, once we started fighting it, it killed my friend...

I remember the first time I saw a koalaphant. Prepare for story time... So I was really new to don’t starve and had no idea what I was doing. I found a suspicious dirt pile thinking it led to Chester because I knew about him. At the end I saw the koalaphant walking around minding its own business. I thought It was a sanity thing(like the rabbits) and when sanity was low beefalo turned into koalaphant. I hit it somehow and it chased me forever, I ended up not paying attention then I got stuck in the dark and died.

Because of you I have gotten back into don't starve, made a server on DST and killed my first deerclops XD the best thing to do in this game is keep your cool and not get spooked by things so you don't panic and keep the rhythm of the killin' until you get through it XD so far day 32 in one session while also not having died (although some others may have). Could you point me in the direction of getting eggs on this please, as pengulls are a pain to deal with, and I have a bird in a cage atm and one tall bird nest (ironically in a huge meteor field), as I'd like to get onto the peirogi train asap as only had 1 between the 4 of us with deerclops

Omg I HATE hounds. That's y I always make sure I live by beefalos. When they come to attack me, I run around the beefalo which makes the hounds hit the beefalo which makes the beefalo attack the hounds when they then kill the hounds for me 😌

I wonder what a person could do to see the items stats like on the movie. Is this a feature of some DLC? I have the base game only. In the base game I do not see the number values on items. Or is there some kind of option to switch dhose number values on? I someone knows please share.

"Hunt Surprises" is what you're looking for. It will turn up or down the Vargs and Ewecus

I just let a varg deal with a deerclopse. It still dies immediately, but every bit helps!

Sure, as long as you think that is viable enough in your situation of course! If you don't need to eat it straight away I would advice just drying every piece of meat you get as it just prolongs its spoilage time for future use regardless!
