17:27 - the picture is from the 20s, possibly very early 30s, but more likely around mid 20s. The inscription on the back says "To my best friends Mr & Mrs Richard Howells and family." I can only read it because it's very similar to my late dad's and I was a master at deciphering his artistic and often flowery writing. LOL! Brilliant explore and I hope, like you said, that no one ransacks that place. You're a wonderful explorer because you take only pictures and leave only footprints. Bless you.

If one had a dumpster at the ready, a good sturdy broom, a couple of gallons of white interior paint + brushes, a ladder and the enthusiasm to put in a good days work, this lovely house could be made a home once more. Some of the decorative items I spotted after wiping with a damp cloth would make a nice embellishment to make complete.

I think when someone dies there are often locals or family who will tear through the house looking for certain items they know to be there like valuable antiques etc. Looks like this house was in quite a state before it was abandoned.

Just amazing as always. A real historic snapshot captured for all time before the developers/vandals/time do their thing. The bathroom tiles are the same as my Dad laid in our bathroom in the 1970’s, Crystall was the name I think. I had a Carlton in 1990’s, mega miles but my pride and joy at the time. I can’t help thinking that all these old houses and the history they hold will be lost soon, It’s great that it’s recorded here. I’m sure it’ll be referenced in the future. Sad to see so much leftover beer. Follow the bear😉

It's quite common in Finland that abandoned houses has power still on, juse because it's more expensive to cut power of than keep it on and in many cases city/toen own the property. Electric device right next to shower looks bit sketchy, I wouldn't use that. What it it anyways? Water heater?

What is interesting is that at 5:19 you pan up to a meter and fusebox, and note that the power is still turned on. The thing is that the meter itself is a very modern smart meter, and these would have been installed in the last couple of years, judging by how new the meter looks, why on earth would a meter installer have gone there and installed a brand new, expensive smart meter, when the place has been abandoned for over 20 years, and usually they have to do a basic electrical and gas safety check before they will install a smart meter, and someone also has to be at home at the time the install is done. Its obvious that the electrics could never pass a safety inspection so how on earth is there such a new electric meter in that place. Who is paying the bills - got to wonder really.

The mystery to me is that there is so much "crap" just strewn around as if a small tornado took material from 3 old houses and just splashed all around through this house. The splatter of stuff just doesn't make sense - totally unnatural. How did it happen?.
