I've been making them for close to 20 years. Lately i'm cutting them to about a half inch wide.

Bic mini lighter, wrapped with Gorilla tape, then waxed jute thread(?) wrapped over the Gorilla tape, a Ranger band to hold the twine in place, and gives me a place to slide a small, cheap stainless pry bar.

overkill man 😂 less is more, lighter wrapped in duct tape all you need for what youre saying
