Even when the cub is 3/4yrs old mama will protect til death! As older adults I've seen them meet up w/a sibling(usually females) in the wild & stay for a time together.. In Alaska if they hear a gunshot they come running bc they know they can steal an animal from the hunter!! Unfortunately grizzlies have been mating w/polar bears bc of those bears coming inland..

@@dianawebb2799 , this bear is just 16-17 months old, just a yearling. It just got distracted on a good patch of vegetation. This bears mom kept them all year, denned with them and then released them the following spring as 28 months old.
