@@michaelmurry2566The answer is this: God told the prophet Balaam that he shouldn’t curse the Israelites. However, the prophet went with Balak’s men with the full intention of cursing Israel. Balaam wanted to please the Moabite king and receive a reward from him. (Jude 11) Even when Balaam was forced to bless rather than curse Israel, he sought the king’s favor by suggesting that Baal worshipping women be used to seduce Israelite men. This brought God’s wrath upon Israel and resulted in 24,000 deaths. Later, greedy Balaam died at the hands of those he sought to curse!

Something I never caught before. The angel of the Lord told him he was resisting him stubbornly, but he never fought against the angel. He just simply persisted continuously in what would appear as minding his own business down the wrong path with the wrong intent. Seems it doesn't take much to be deemed stubborn in our sin. Wow. Oh, how much we need God's grace, long-suffering, and mercy and He grants it to us so freely! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

This happened to me in 2020, I was dealing with some pretty serious drunkenness, and my sister in law and her husband was trying to help me but I lashed out. Thankfully they spoke the word to me and I finally listened. Now our relationship is even better than before. Praise God Almighty, they were the both the Angel and Donkey to me.

Thank you for this very timely message. I just experienced the importance of this lesson in my own life this week. My elderly mother challenged me on a personal matter and I didn't receive it in humility. But, after several minutes of thinking about what she said, I feel that the LORD revealed to me that she was right and I was wrong. Humbly, I'm going to apologize to my mom today and thank her for loving me enough to tell me the truth, even when it's difficult.

Allen thanks, there was a friend that I was recently in fellowship, also in a related situation at my home, just the two of us. An impromptu visit on their part, I welcomed, however rarely. I was revealing some noted unpleasant character concerns that were disrupting my peace while in fellowship and conversation. As I expressed my opinions regarding their concerns and opinions, in hopes of preserving our long term friendship, the person became offensive and took it as my being unbalanced in my opinions. When I asked them to tell me what I was doing wrong, there was no response, only silence and ended up saying they forgave me while abruptly dismissing themselves immediately from my home. I told them I loved them and was left feeling that my efforts were misunderstood. I'm in prayer and hoping for divine intervention, for both of us at this point because I'm left feeling that our friendship will need divine intervention to continue peace and to abide. I appreciated the reference in scripture and context. I was blessed and comforted. That advice remains necessary and is needful in our present relationships with Christ and others. We all have unresolved personal issues, even if delivered by donkeys..lol. Thanks and Amen!

Great video Allen. I am pleased to see Allen expand from teaching to preaching, and this video is a preaching prophetic word. The kernel is 1) You have blindspots 2) God will put voices in your life to speak on his behalf 3) Some of these voices will seem less consequential to you. 4) Ignoring them will put you in peril. Wow! First I’ve never heard this story before. Second, this is so on point. I can apply this to a situation I’m in right now. There was something my husband didn’t want me to do(and for good reasons). But, because of my pride-I insisted and he gave in. Nothing was working out but, I persisted until I couldn’t. I ended up with COVID and had to cancel my plans. Yesterday, my younger brother (whom I don’t usually take advice from-cause I’m the big sister!) gave me a Word about what lesson I should take from the situation. Omg I have a testimony from the same situation where I lost everything being disobedient but through true repentance, but God saved me and redeemed me by pleading and begging God with true repentance from the heart through his forgiveness I was redeemed filled with the Holy Spirit and the ability to speak in tongues. I know what that donkey felt God’s correction may hurt but I now sit my but down and learn to walk in humility I was literally on my way to hell. Listen and obey God through obedience it can save your life I am a true witness. Thanks for the video

Brother Allen, this is such hard lesson for me. I had the same problem with my ex-husband. He just did not want to know what I was saying. He refused to listen to me and attacked me for trying to control him. I just could not cope anymore as he put me at risk with his actions. God saved me the night I decide to leave my marriage and give my life to Jesus. I now know my value as a child of God, I will never let any person to gas light me and take my hopes and dreams away. This is what I needed! I am wondering about a situation that I am in. It may sound lame but this happens quite a bit with me. You see, I (my wife and I) are planning a move out of state. We will be empty nesters in May and have a "retirement" property that we plan to move to after graduation. I have kind of struggled with the move but my wife is really looking forward to it. I am too but I have that "wonder if this is the right decision" doubt. So now, one of our vehicles, the important one that will be pulling our 5th wheel, is out of commission right now. I have worked on it and corrected an issue that I thought and diagnosed as being the problem, but it is still out of commission. I really love my job here as well and almost feel like I am letting my boss and coworkers down. All that being said, it makes me wonder if I should make the move. Would really like some prayer on this to help me have clarity on what God wants. Are the issues a speed bump from Satan or from God?

The really sad part is that Balaam resisted after blessing Israel verbally. Later, we read about Baal of Peor, which cost 24,000 Israelite lives. After this, the Israelites killed the Midianites and Balaam. Revelation 2 mentions Balaam teaching Balak to put a stumbling block in front of Israel. Balaam's greed cost 24,000 Israelite lives plus the male Midianites plus his own life. May the Lord protect us from the sin of Balaam. 🙏

Of all the sins, Pride is probably the worst. Pride took down Satan. Prideful people can experience feelings of fear, maintain a sense of entitlement, be ungrateful, act/speak like a hypocrite, engage in rebellion, etc. I've dealt with this personally. It's horrible. I am BAD about operating in the permissive will and it confuses me most times. Looking back over the years I can see all the signs of certain situations that I had no peace with, that were filled with confusion and I still persisted. Now it’s easier for me to pick up on those things. But it’s still soooooo hard to really surrender esp when what God is directing against isn’t bad or sinful. Take for example I desire to be married, and I’ve had poor situations back to back for YEARS. Even after I’ve let go of sinning physically. Being married is not ungodly or a bad thing, but there’s so much difficulty I’m facing in this area I know God just wants me to let go of the notion of it.. but why would He allow such a desire, and not provide… idk it’s hard being a Christian I’m sorry to say it but it’s sooo worth it 🙌🏾

I had to let go of the desire. I got to a place where I didn't care if I got married or not. Jesus was enough for me and I was really looking forward to spending the rest of my life with just Him. As soon as I got to that place, I met the man I am going to marry in about 4 months. Even if something happens and we don't get married, I would be disappointed but still content to serve God fully. Give God your heart first.
