@Urusovite Yessir-y Bob.. That explains a lot.. I wouldn't leave Georgia, but if I did, I would go to Texas. Tennessee has snow.. Simply can't go there.. Not to stay.. Texas and Georgia have similar weather, similar attitudes and similar laws.. Open carry, and stand your ground.. Did you know that there's such a thing as "duty to retreat"? In America? (Yankees) Sounds unnatural and confusing. Those words don't really go together in my mind.. I wouldn't know how to act. I'm glad "standing my ground" is legal, it's what would happen next..

@Urusovite Yes someone stealing lip gloss totally deserves lethal force. The fact that you see no problem with ending a life over a $5 item shows how morally bankrupt you are. I bet you claim to be a christian too. If someone stole my lip gloss I'd be sort of pissed, but then I'd get over it. Even if I'm too poor to buy more, its just an item. Are you pro life too? I bet. Unless that baby steals your lip gloss! Then they can go to hell right?

I'm still stunned by that one. Actually makes me think of September 11th 2001, shortly after the terrorist attacks, and America closed our borders and grounded all air traffic, and Canada took in all the desperate airliners who didn't have enough fuel to fly back across the Atlantic Ocean. That was a huge, sudden impact on Canada, and a huge effort and mission. A lot of gratitude to Canada 🇨🇦 then...

Note: The bagpipes are playing, "America The Beautiful". Most people know the first verse as follows - Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee, And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea. Originally a poem written by Katherine Lee Bates, there are three additional beautiful verses.

There are actually 4 additional verses, not 3: O beautiful for pilgrim feet Whose stern impassioned stress, A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law! O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife, Who more than self their country love And mercy more than life! America! America! May God thy gold refine Till all success be nobleness, And every gain divine! O beautiful for patriot dream That sees beyond the years, Thine alabaster cities gleam Undimmed by human tears! America! America! God shed His grace on thee, And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea! Oh beautiful for halcyon skies For amber waves of grain For purple mountain majesties Above the enameled plain! America! America! God shed His grace on thee, Till souls wax fair as earth and air And music-hearted sea!

I am forced to agree with you on this, Jessica. However, I am Not proud that, although most of us know the words, many of us are not aware that Francis Scott Key wrote the words while watching a battle during the War of 1812 (against the British, mind you) and was worried that the British soldiers would capture the American fort where the battle occurred and that the flag flying over the fort was still an indicator that the British troops had not won and taken the fort over and raised their own flag on the battlements.

I have seen this happen quite a few times and there are several videos out there like this with different sports. I seem to recall a little league base ball game where something happened, the teams lined up on the sides of the field and then they made an announcement that the Anthem was not going to be played, but the stands went and sang the anthem without the audio playing. I have also seen clips of hockey games where the Canadian fans sang the US National Anthem when the singer's mic went out and that one really choked me up. There was then a follow up video to that one where the Nashville Predators returned the favor and sang the Canadian Anthem as a pay back for the Canadians singing our anthem. This is the way it should be, we honor and respect each other and we stand side by side with our friends around the world. If only it could be this way everywhere.

For me the 2 most amazing videos of the Star Spangled Banner being sung/played were when canadians sang our natiional anthem at a hockey game in Canada(us Americans returned the favor later at a Nashville Predators hockey game and sang Oh Canada). The other time was when the Queen irdered our National Anthem to be played outside Buckingham Palace after the 9/11 attacks. To see not only our National Anthem being played in your country, but the citizens of the UK standing there, holding American flags and singing our anthem(some with tears in their eyes) just made love the U.K. so much more.

As mentioned before it happened in Canada when Canadian fans sang the American anthem In Toronto near the end of the anthem and in Edmonton where the whole anthem was sung. It also happened in Detroit where Americans sang the Canadian anthem. Nothing like good neighbors.

I choke up and get teary when the announcer announces that the anthem is about to be played/sung. Being American is so instilled in Americans. If you pan the camera through the stands anytime the anthem is played, a lot of people sing right along anyway. When the mic goes out, they just amped it up and belted it out like we always want to but don't out of respect for the hired singer. I don't know why sports events even hire a singer. The crowd would be perfectly happy to sing it with their whole heart and soul.

Thanks! The first time I realized how much I loved my country was during a singing of this anthem. My husband was newly stationed, with the US Army, in West Berlin. I had recently joined him there. We went to a movie at an American post theater, where the national anthem is always played before the start of any movie. The anthem began, we all stood and I placed my hand over my heart, and started to cry like a baby. I had grown up an Air Force brat, and was now an Army wife, and used to moving around. I was excited to be in Berlin, but all of a sudden, I understood what a great country the USA was, and is, and I was proud and happy to be American, and homesick, all at once. God bless America!

You guys had such a lovely reaction to the Star Spangled Banner. I was wondering how you were feeling as British people watching your country’s historical attack on the fort. It shows what good hearts you have! I do not normally get into reaction videos, but patriotism is a thing here in the United States…at least I pray it still is, so it was neat to hear your thoughts on the song. I hope my people rise up against the tyranny of the jabs and mandates going on now across the world. None of this is right.

Since you watched this one, I highly recommend that both of you check out the Kentucky All State Choir singing the national anthem in a hotel. I think the best version is the one from 2019. amazing is an understatement. Its a yearly tradition at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville, Kentucky since 1987. Part of the magic is the acoustics that this hotel atrium has. They aren't the only ones who have taken advantage of this unique hotel though. The Colorado All State Choir has also performed, "down to the river to pray" back in 2019 at this same hotel and numerus other songs over the years. I highly recommend you check out the both videos. However if you choose one, definitely the 2019 version of the Kentucky All State Choir singing the national anthem.

The words are by Francis Scott Key. The music is an old drinking song called “To Anacreon in Heaven,” and does not require the singer to hold that killer high note. I suspect it is also easier to sing while drunk.

I'm of English and Scots-Irish heritage. My ancestors first landed in Virginia in 1700. The bagpipes are often heard in America and Canada to reflect the strong Scottish and Irish heritage of both countries. And it's almost mandatory for Americans to sing along with the National Anthem at sporting events. You put your right hand over your heart and salute the flag. It's a way of showing devotion to your country and the ideals of America.

Also, with 'the big drum' music, there might be some 'fancy dancers' , somehting more to behold.
