This is unbelievable. Now I want the Timeless more than ever if 20 dollars gets you this from 7hz. This thing really rocks for modern rock music. All the screamers and grit and growl needed in those tracks. This hits just right. Maybe it's the new DD diaphragm material they use but it's graph doesn't do it justice. It reaches a little deeper in bass than Chu and Titan S. It's definitely more visceral if you want it to be. These are great. For any price up to a hundred dollars. Good review. @ROFLWAFFLELAWL42 жыл бұрын
The biggest sell between the two is the replaceable cables. $20 for a set with replaceable cables is kinda insane. Ontop of that the tuning is way above your average set. It's impressive how good the low tier market is getting. Makes sense since it's probably the bracket the most people are going to be looking at. Only a few of those people are eventually going to go for the more expensive equipment. As there isn't as much of a demand for high tier to really expand (due to a lower consumer population than the lower end) it makes a lot more sense to make more affordable options to get more peoples foot in the door. And honestly if you gave a person a pair of some of these budget IEMs that have come out and nothing else? They would probably be perfectly content with those and with the Salnotes Zeros you have the ability to swap cables, the most common point of wear and failure.

Just got this set a couple of days ago and it's kinda hard for me to review because it just sounded 'right'. Like there's nothing wrong with the sound, it's smooth throughout the whole frequency range. No mud, no shout, no harshness, no sibilant, no notable dips or scoops or peaks. Everything is presented politely. I was even surprised that it does sub-bass really tastefully At first my only complaint was that it could use some more upper treble energy, but a simple tips-rolling fixed that and now im happy.

I have several questions since this is the first IEM that I'll be buying and I hope that you can help me out. 1. Can I/Should I just plug it in my motherboard then use my computer normally or do I have to buy other audio stuff to get the most out of it? I'm asking this because I have seen videos talking about DAC, amp, audio interface, etc. but I don't really know what they do and if they are going to benefit me as a casual user. 2. Do I need to download a software or change any settings in my PC that would "enhance" the quality of this IEM. 3. I haven't seen any reviews about the durability of this product. I have owned many earphones before and they all used to work fine until only one side is functioning. I'm not sure if this is also a common issue in IEM. If this IEM runs into this problem, can I simply buy a replacement cable to fix this issue? 4. If I'm gonna use a cable extender to connect it to my PC, will there be some losses in terms of audio quality? Thank you very much for your time and attention. Any suggestions and external links regarding my questions are very much appreciated.

Think 'Chet Baker - My Funny Valentine' with the piano swapped for alto sax and it's coming out of the velvetiest warmest tube amplifiers from the 60s you've ever heard. Your head is pressed against them getting drunk and flirty on the vibrations alone. How do these compare to that desire? If not do you have any IEM recs sub $30/50/80? TIA! Not as much as the format from your smartphone, there’s a huge difference between average quality streaming/mp3 files and for instance Apple Lossless/Dolby and Tidal Master+Dolby quality. So you could use your smartphone but if you plan to use Spotify for example and stream at a medium quality then although they’ll still sound fantastic you’ll be far from using them to their potential. Using an official $9 Apple 3.5mm to usb c/lighting depending on your device is generally an effective, easy and cheap way to give them a boost in quality. There’s also the safe option of an iPod 5th gen, filling it with Apple Lossless format ripped music or any Sony Lossless player and riding off into the sunset with a smile on your mug

@@VanDungLe2510 In a nutshell, I think the sound quality and replay of the Mele is a little better. Bass is also better on the Mele. I'd say the Zero does vocals better than the Mele.

Amazing set for real! graphs like a KATO more or less but with less midbass. I’m still hoping that KZ strikes gold where they release a CRA but shifting the peak from 5k to 3k because that’s the only way they’ll stay relevant at this point
@caioricardo59472 жыл бұрын
3k? For my ears this is very painfull
@1337wafflezz2 жыл бұрын
@@caioricardo5947 3khz is the highest region of the pinna gain or inversely the area that needs the most gain to sound “flat” relative to a flat speaker setup. There are preferences of course but this is basically about as an objective of a truth as you can get. some sets can still get a little shouty is the 3khz pinna gain is too much but in any well tuned set the 3khz region will always be the highest in the upper mids. CRA works well for some and is intolerable for others because of different insertion depths and resonances depending on the individual. that 5k peak is a flaw you can disagree but like I said unless you’re an alien with a stupidly short ear resonance of 3khz that region should be highest even if you want a dip
@caioricardo59472 жыл бұрын
@@1337wafflezz I got it, but at least for my ears the CRA's 5k peak isn't that much painfull. I also have an EDX, and the 2k and 4k peaks really bother me I think that I'm very sensitive to shouty upper mids (mostly 2k), so I prefer IEMs with more gentle pinna gain rise (just like the CRA and Zex Pro)

Dammn graph seems like a lot of my new moondrop aria snow edition. More sub-bass on the 7Hz zero, upgrade worthy?
@TheJarnojarno2 жыл бұрын
I ordered them. They're great! The Aria Snow is a tad better on detail, but only slightly in direct comparison. The elavated highs seems details in the highs to be heard more easily on the 7Hz zero although. I prefer the Aria SE for longer listening, less fatigue. Both headsets have no sibiliance, but if there's in the song, the 7hz will emphasis more of course. Both could be the same price, as even 80 euros is a really good price already. The build of the Aria Snow edition is a lot better, but they are also a bit heavier (not heavy). The cable of the 7Hz zero is prone to be give rubbing sound though on the last end (after the splitter). The base is a bit punchier on the 7Hz zero also, seems a bit tighter on the Aria, and aria is also not lacking in bass, but just a bit less. Both are still no brainers for the money, but the 7hz is king. And if you like your treble, go for the 7hz zero before Aria SE. I'll keep mine as spare after Aria still maining. Oy and 7hz zero vs chu? I'll give away my chu's, their good, especially for the price, but 7Hz zero is just better!

I have the mele's, do you think it's worth buying the zero's?
@Assimilator7022 жыл бұрын
Do you have a problem with the tuning of the MELE? If not than don't bother. But it's only $20. So if you're really curious it's not too much risk.
@zarrar262 жыл бұрын
You should know it'll only be a downgrade judging by price, but get it as a backup pair
@Assimilator7022 жыл бұрын
If you want an improvement over the MELE get the KAI. If you simply want to try a $20 set, the Zero looks decent but its not the same tuning as MELE which you may or may not consider an upgrade. The prices of theses iems are in many cases arbitrary and not reflective of the performance. There are so many factors involved in pricing from one company to the next. I just got my KAI today and so far they seem like a winner. I want to get 50+ hours on them before I make any final judgements. Get those drivers moving and find out if there are any QC issues so I can return them if needed.

I no longer believe the reviewers - they are all corrupt. Here came TRN BA5, from which everyone wrote with pleasure. It is impossible to listen - at about 7-9 kHz there is an unrealistic surge, pours iron at any volume, you do it very quietly - and only this sound of 7-9 kHz remains. But from the first days a marriage was discovered - after 1,5-2 hours of listening, the left channel plays quieter and quieter, and after 3 hours it is not audible at all ))
