Nice install video! I've been running their mtb crank mounted to a Wolf Tooth Spider/Chainring on my Anthem for a season (paired with their 11sp mtb cassette), I dont notice a diffence between that and the RF turbine it replaced, but its a super clean/great looking crankset and lighter/cheaper than RF carbon options. I too had the same spacer issues as you - instructions said no spacer, but i had to run 2mm driveside to to get proper clearance.

Just an FYI. Specialized frames from the factory are not compatible with a 30mm axle. This is because the frame is only faced to 41mm at the BB. 30mm axles require BSA30 BB which is usually 45mm in diameter. I had to face my Tarmac SL8 with a Park Tool facer which has a 46mm diameter. Watch this video clip for more details on this issue. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWWugalsoLl8epIsi=v7ITk3cG0TgVLthp&t=573

Two halves of 7075 aluminum bonded together…hmm…can we say Magic Motorcycle crank from the 90s? Didn't that suffer from bonding issues? Come to think of it, didn't Shimano also suffer from bonding issues with their Hollowtech cranks? I guess time will tell if Garbaruk does any better.

The GRX is also a Hollowtech crank. Haven’t heard complaints about it. Hollowtech has been around since the 1990’s. On the whole, they have been some of Shimano’s best cranks. The DuraAce cranks with issues had way too many seams and not enough qc on required tolerances.
@weatheranddarkness

@@petesjk Most of the Shimano ones have been welded. They did have issues when they moved to bonding on the DA9000, but looking at the inner portion it's not surprising, the finish and clearances on the interfacing portions of the failed units were sub optimal. On the other side, Cannondale has had very very few issues with their bonded cranks, and they've made orders of magnitude more than Alex Pong ever did including both his time independent and under C'dale. Adhesives have changed a lot since 92.
