In regard to the guy that said Giannis can keep making 3s, I kind of agree. 2K has always been about who has the easiest shooting form. You could have a guy with 60 3pt rating, but if he has an easy shooting form, you can green it every time. Whereas someone like Jokic who has 80+ 3pt rating has a slow release so usually he has a poor shooting percentage in the leagues I've been in.

TBH this is true for the last 7 or 8 2Ks. There was a period of time where rating and timing were everything. The form was aesthetic. I can't pinpoint exactly but 2K11 for example jump shooting was based on timing and rating. It didn't matter much what the form looked like.

This right here destroy strategy in the game especially if u wanna jump on curry or lillard. I understand the badges like alpha (or floor general) increase offense for everyone on the floor but if that’s the case then they need to lower Greek freak and looney’s 3s down to the 50s so when they make ‘em that mean it’s one of those games or they were very hot. I went back to 2k23 and i didn't even really like that game. 2k feels worse every year. The last one I remembered mostly positively is 2k20. I played 2k24 for like a couple of days, hated it, came back to it a couple of weeks ago to try to give it another chance and still hated it. I'm back on 2k23 (current gen). I definitely liked 2k20, but I also think that, at least on current gen, 2k22 and 2k23 were both pretty solid. Even 2k21 was playable. 2k24 is just not fun. Shooting is less consistent and I'm really getting tired of having to re-learn how to dribble each year.

I don’t start MyCareer until after the trade deadline because I hate playing in a season with inaccurate rosters so I prefer 2 wait. As u mentioned, I have a life and family so this works 4 me. I have zero desire 2 play in the park

Top things I hate in 2k24.. 1. Jumpshots being different speeds 2. Pass stuns 3. Pass speed is slow asf 4.pressing x for interceptions result is serious displacement like who would commit so hard smh 5. Pressing x and 2 seconds later your manhandling the ball handler 6.being in front of a defender then slowing down literally so they can touch the ball 7. Weird crossovers that feel clunky 8. 1v1 court stamina is garbage after rebound 9. Not being able to run up to shooters before they shoot as if they create a buffer zone 10. Pressing up on the analog stick but your player doesn’t do anything. Or in fact any time I press anything like lane steal and my player acts as if I didn’t press anything/flys out of bounds 11. The rpg element …just because someone is a playmaker with ankle breaker it auto activates even tho I’m not physically moving my controller… 12. Defense is hit or miss sometimes I’m lockdown other times I can’t even touch the ball handler like they slide right pass me. Smh

2k had gotten so bad that they know people are dropping off earlier and earlier with each new game so they’re adapting to that. This has been by far the worst 2k for spending money. The amount of builds everyone has gone through within 2 seasons is crazy. They know player count will drop off so the focus is immediate spending. Hence the season passes too. Think of it like a movie release. The opening few weeks is where they plan to be successful.

The guy wasnt wrong about shooting being easy in a way. Because 2k is green or miss now and has a pure window you can hit with horrible shooters almost all the time. Its really about having a the “best” jumpshot and its why the cheats work so well. It still is hard to shoot in general because of the tiny windows and latency, but there are people out there that are automatic with certain jumpers. Giannis is actually one of the easier non shooters to hit with because of his shot animation

If you make a game for a console, it is your job to optimize it for that console. You can't use the 'old console' argument if the developers took time to make a PS4 version and not optimize it properly. That is not the customers fault, that is the the developers fault. The fact that (as you mentioned) it is optimized well for PS5, that means that they only prioritized optimizing their shit game for the PS4 over the PS5. The problem is that whichever console you bought the game for, you are a paying customer so it's not like you're expecting something for zero money. here's my situation. from 2k14 to 2k21 i have played all of them on PC .. had like 2700 hours on 2k17. that was the game i GRINDED .. loved the game, was a die hard fan. back then Park had hackers and shit.. its PC, we get it. then i got Xbox Series S, was so hyped to try the game on console.. I wish 2K would push toward the E-League route. Other games with leagues prioritize making it easier to compete. Instead of providing loaner builds that allow for easier balancing in competitive modes, they would rather us pay to upgrade several custom builds because the game gets patched constantly.

They need to put the PA commentators back in rec/pro am and actually use our custom names like old proam which was rec. 3. They need to completely remove greening dunks, and go back to the old dunking system. 4. They need to remove crossplay. 5. They need to remove the rep system and go back to road to 99 without dropping people back down for a bad game, remove rebirth tokens and only allow rebirth on specific builds as opposed to any build, too many ppl running around with 99s they grinded in a day. which leads to 6. They need to remove badge regression and let people pick their badges again. 7. They need to completely redo dribbling and deal with the dribble spamming issues as soon as they arise, crack down on exploits as soon as they start. 8. They need to keep the season system but make the rewards much better, people love free stuff, however things we get from the rep system should be rewarded in season while certain things everyone will want should always be attainable like +5 to all stats should be a reward for hitting 99. 9. They need to keep their servers fixed and up to date and Never adjust latency it should be done perfectly the first time. 10. they need to give back the ability to speak to the other team in rec, that should only be taken away in proam, too much hostility is created among team mates ppl forget who the opponents are, speaking of hostility...11. They need to completely remove the black to purple ranking system, and also remove anything that shows a persons season levels, when you create so much separation you encourage people to sell eachother, trash talk eachother, and of course refuse to play with other, the community is toxic because so many players get treated like trash, that was never the case in old rec which was called proam, it was no squads all random, nobody saw anyones stats and people came out there to try and win, there were rarely and fights or sellouts. 12... they need to not make vc cheaper, keep stats and clothes expensive its fine, but they need to pay alot more vc for accomplishments in game, even if you loose in park that should be a guaranteed 1000+ vc, my career should pay well over 5000 vc per game just for the win, and rec and proam should pay well over 10k vc per win, then the amount of vc you get for each price should be raised by a little bit. To remove the pay to win aspect season rewards shouldnt give anything that helps in game, that should come with the 99, the grind to 99 should be alot harder, capping anyone and everyone at an 85 and making people work to level up, by doing so there will be alot more diversity, everyone having a 99 in the early days of the game is just boring, and lazy. 13. They need to put intimidator back in the game, they separated it into two badges, for interior and exterior defense. Because of that foolish move we have 6ft shooters pulling up threes over 7ft shaqs and lebrons with no worries. And with the ability to pick your own badges we would see alot more diversity in defense as well as offense. 14. They need to automatically give certain badges according to height, weight, and wingspan. Things like intimidator should be auto with someone really tallk, really strong, or with really long KD like arms. 15. They need to ban not just the accounts, but entire ip addresses, some computer games like pokemon do this all the time. Ban them for hacking, boosting, or using any sort of cheats or modded controllers. Using a 3 strike system until they get perma banned. 16. They need to completely remove banning and punishing people for quitting games. Most people dont mind ai players on their team and speaking of Ai players. 17. They need to nerf ai players ability to shoot, and change the tendacies to just stand at the 3 point line, even ai players with a 25 3 pnt shot hang out at the 3 line and green 3s left and right. They need to add more tendacies to things like iso, setting picks and screens, and post ups, also handles, the ai players should be no different than in my career. 18. If the other team forfeits you should still get all rewards earned up to that point. 19. They need to fix the openess, directional, distance, passing sliders, they are broken. 20. Lastly, they need to start communication banning people for racial slurs, threats, and believe it or not, bullying, its become a huge problem in 2k and has even lead to people being killed, but they dont talk about that, being from south chicago i know multiple people who were killed over online beef started in 2k. The number is likely in the 10s-20s every year..... Bonus 21. They need to stop using kobe as the face on the cover, its insulting to one of the goats after he has passed on. Fix the game first then use it, but chances are, Kobe would be mad they took that honer from top prospects and players who had dreams of being put on the cover of 2k, its a thing.

I play 2k every year. & I’m an above average player, pretty good @ the game. This years game is just boring, they nerfed offense to give the appearance the defense is better. The tactics 2k uses is also weighing into how I feel ab the game. The whole advertisement of the game was pro play features, and pro play does NOTHING to change gameplay. 2k23-24 should just be like 2k14 simple and not all complex. I remember playing 2k14 and i was i heard of this vc glitch and basicly what u would have to do was have a F teammate grade and score no points, get no ast,steals,rebounds,ect and foul out and when ur in the upgrade stats u would see ur name with no vc by it the vc would be gone, and you would be able to grade ur stuff to max to any ovr u wanted. I wish 2k23-24 was like that, some vc glitch thats no patched. Edit: 2k14 shooting and dribbling were very simple and there was no shot meter it was just you and ur skill.

Please keep in mind not everyone who plays 2K or video games is an adult. It may be easy for kids to get a job, get money and get paid in ur country, but also pls remember not every country is the USA. I have an Xbox Series X (thanks to my Ex GF) and a PS5, so I don't fall into the "can't afford/don't have current gen" category, but to say these consoles aren't severely overpriced in most countries (maybe not USA since you don't have to pay almost 100% tax on top of ur $ 600 or $ 700 ur already paying for the console), there are a LOT of kids whose parents don't not see the point of spending the price of a some 2nd hand cars on something that is not all too different from it's much cheaper and very similar predecessor in Xbox One and PS4. In a country like mine (SA, easily the retrenchment capital of the world) getting a job and keeping a job has almost solely become based on nepotism as opposed to qualifications and performance. When you still have rent, groceries, fuel, medical aid, insurance and car payment among paying for literally everything, it can be hard to just save up and buy a current gen console for R 12 000 - R 17 000. This is why so many people can't just "Upgrade" to current gen and why they still make these games world wide for Last gen consoles. And though I'll be emigrating to Canada next month and will also get to enjoy that American "Milk and Honey" experience of having so many ways to make money (and I can't speak to or for the people who pay for VC or builds since it's something I've never done and never do and only buy 2K on sale which happens often because they're good games that suck every year in key places), I can't just forget the people who work hard but aren't as fortunate as me & you in terms of outcome.

I will say this. I have played 2k for years and I always put in a lot of hours into it because I loved basketball and I loveplaying it. Don't get me wrong, I had issues with gameplay and other things when it came to 2k but I still kept playing it because I could have fun with playing it in some form of capacity. I love to grind in MyCareer to get to a reasonable overall and then go play with friends to try to upgrade the rest of the way there. All without having to buy VC. 2k23 was the start of that changing and I will end up learning how bad it would be in 2k24. When I started playing 2k24, I can't help but to feel disgusted by how bad the microtransactions has gotten. It's one thing to add in an $150 option for VC, which is already past pushing it but then to add in a battle pass and level skips as well is just the last straw. We're already having to pay a minimum $70+ if we get the next gen version, Then we would need to buy VC, so if you don't get the legend edition, you may spend another $100 if you don't want to grind as a 80 and then you get a option to spend another $100 for a battle pass IN AN ANNUAL RELEASED GAME and level skips to the level 40 season reward. To me, there's no point in playing because the levels skips removes the grinding for season rewards and with cheaters and other terrible things that the game provides, I would just stop playing and go to something else. I don't have any hope that any major changes for the better will happen in the series until people stop buying it . That's the only way they'll make it better.

The reality is, as someone who plays almost exclusively sports titles and has for 35 years, the last 15 years have been THE WORST FOR ALL SPORTS TITLES EVER. It is downright PATHETIC/RIDICULOUS, and yet people keep buying them. I won’t buy a new sports title until it’s AT LEAST HALF OFF because I know even at half off it’s not worth half of that price. I agree! I was an avid NBA2K player. Been playing 2K since the original Iverson Dreamcast versions (I'm an old head). I have the disposable income, I have the free time (No kids) and I refused to purchase this year's game when I saw the money grab of the battle pass. Like this isn't Fortnite, or Apex. It's a yearly $70 basketball game. I used to shell out for the special edition, get the VC and ball out. But I voted with my wallet and refused to support this new game. Despite a lot of people saying they would do the same (Checks 2K sales) that was cap. So expect more of the same from NBA 2K25.

My first time playing MyPark was 2016 even though id be playing 2k since xbox 360, 2k16 was fun af, they were still making the game better around 2k18, I decided to stop because, 1. It started to take wayyyy too long to get to a decent overall, you use to be able to get 3-4 players up and mess around but now just 1 requires so much time and effort for badges and 2. How ridiculous that every year you lose the character you just built and wasted a whole year on and then the servers for last years are just shutdown right away, you pay 100$ for the game and then you basically have to spend another 60 on VC just to get to 75 overall or be behind everyone for a few weeks the last i seen they had reeces and gatorade advertisements in the game, its getting out of control and as long as people keep coming they have no reason to stop. Huge Time dedication + a lot of $$.
