Without a doubt the best version of one of the best songs of my youth. I'm shocked by how many people can only think of no rain. No rain isn't even in their top five songs. Hoon pours his soul out and it's a beautiful haunting masterpiece that I am so happy I just discovered.

Shannon Hoon (and Blind Melon of course, but I come for the words and the voice) wrote 3 of the best, most dynamic, most honest, raw, and effortlessly poetic albums of all time. Almost every song a classic, or a gut punch, or an invitation to consider what he saw and the fucked up places a plummeting mood will land you. Sleepyhouse. Walk. St. Abdrew's Fall, Galaxy. Toes Across The Foor. Soup. Soup. Soup. Change. Vernie. Mouthful of Cavities. Car seat. Glitch. The Pusher. I Wonder. Drive. Time. It's an injustice that when I mention Blind Melon some ignorant asshole goes "Oh Yeah, No Rain!"
