Didn’t watch whole video but their is a lot more to golf than just speed and distance. Don’t get me wrong it is where the game is at but other variable like flighting irons, bunker play, up and downs when you have to and making a putt when you have to. Can you handle the moment!

Im going to heavily disagree with what kyle said at the end. Specifically for dylan, he is already at the peak of whats playable. With his speed in that frame he should be focusing on building muscle to handle it as to prevent injury prevention. Really shouldnt be speed training with that speed until he bulks up a bit. Its no different then watching a young talented Pitchers throw count
@ConnorGlass121

I agree. If this kid wants to turn pro, he needs to be working on everything but his clubspeed. His game speed is already faster than anyone on tour.
@mrfashizleboy9486
@mrfashizleboy9486 8 ай бұрын
He works out a ton. You don’t want to be bulky in golf because then it limits your range of motion. It’s why Bryson has started to slim down. If he can get faster he might as well
@laronda10
@laronda10 8 ай бұрын
@@mrfashizleboy9486 im not talking getting bulky like bryson did, im saying he shouldnt push the limits unless he is going for long drive. If Tour play is the goal there is just no reason to risk injury with that much natural speed
@shawn4105
@shawn4105 8 ай бұрын
Absolutely wrong. You don’t build muscle to prevent injury lmao. Mobility decreases injury. By your philosophy, every big league pitcher would need to workout to prevent arm injuries. Tell me you haven’t studied exercise physiology without saying you haven’t studied exercise physiology.
@laronda10
@laronda10 8 ай бұрын
@@shawn4105literally went to school for it. tell me you didnt pay attention without telling me. A working out isnt just lifting weights and building muscle. B mobility, flexibility, and stability are the cornerstones to injury prevention. Stability being the one i see needed the most for Dylan here, he has some pretty damn good mobility and flexibility. One of the biggest mistakes high level athletes make coming out of high school is ignoring the core. And again from a pure golf prespective, why? He has all speed needed.

I mean immediate subscribe lol. That is absolutely ridiculous. Very cool to see the advancement and evolution of golf. That kid is an athlete flat out. I'm one of the "120 guys" you speak of haha. Pretty good player, I played in the NAIA in the Midwest years ago. I'm Canadian and trained under the best coach in the country. Three of his players are currently on the PGA Tour it wouldn't be hard to find out who they are. I got to watch up close the best talent in the country which was an unreal blessing. I'm saying this because I had been tested on many machines and in front of lots of coaches. They were blown away at the time that I could squeeze out 129 mph if I went for one. I was considered a pretty long hitter. For sure helps the most with irons in my opinion. But 207+ mph?!?! Hahahaha. I mean my brain can't comprehend moving the club that fast. It's freaking awesome. I'd love to try one of the longer drivers that would be fun. Harder to hit straight but should be good for a crack.

A lot of emphasis on speed when that is only a factor to a point. Plenty of insane speeds on the Korn Ferry Tour that can't score or handle the pressure. He doesn't need anymore speed training, he has speed, he needs to learn how to hit it straight under pressure, learn to score, learn to putt and have a PGA Tour level short game.

I guess he need to decide whether to win a 1/4 mile NHRA drag or at Le Mans. Major champ apparently needed only 165 mph to win. 207 is insane for tournament golf but a far cry from LD 230+. Question: What is the average golf hc of LD competitors? No worse than 3, I would think. Well done, Dylan. And daddy’s not bad at 173. PenguinGolf

Really can’t believe that you would be encouraging a teenager with an underdeveloped neuromuscular skeleton system to be priming his central nervous system to try and achieve a totally unnecessary 210mph ball speed. He needs to have the muscle structure to support this which he clearly does not. While the kid obviously has incredible potential not to mention amazing “golf dna”, there is no where near enough evidence to support this pursuit at such a young age. Just let the guy reach his potential appropriate to his development.

try it at 58, lol. Ball speed in the 180's on the course, still trying to get to 200 with long drive equipment and swing. After an open heart surgery, knee surgery, torn tricep off the bone, and recently, a stroke where I almost kicked the bucket. Still hitting bombs until I can't stand up anymore.

Awesome vid on a side note Jack Nicklaus won the long drive contest in the 1963 PGA championship with a drive of 341 yards with a persimmon driver and old type golf ball and in 2016 I believe they did it again on the same hole/course and the winning drive was 340 How fast do you think his club head speed was to hit it that far?
