Ultimate tip: when you're heading out to play a game remember to take your team with you! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

I have always loved that Picard quote. It is so true.

As DMX said in Ruff Ryders Anthem: Stop (and check) Drop (more dice) Shut em down (counter their plan) Open up shop (engage your plan) Oh, no, that's how the Ruff Ryders roll (Accept that anything can happen)

The fate factor in blood bowl and MTG is what makes for those great stories that you end up discussing with your mates for years to come.

My top tip is to make the most important rolls first, even if there are better odds elsewhere because you want to preserve the TRR for the most important rolls. Sure in 2020 rules you can spend multiple TRR's in a turn but you don't want to burn too quickly through those TRR. This means that you delay those 2 Die blocks with Block if they are not helping you to accomplish your goal for the turn. Sequencing your actions in the right order and then you can take the double skulls without feeling bad about it.

The first tip is so important. Today I played with my new wood elves team against the lizardmen of a friend. I made a side cage… Then I realised what the stunty skill does… I lost a level 2 lineman to the fans and then je made a touchdown. Haha, next time i won‘t forget what Skinks do. And I will think for a while before I make a move.

Am i the only one who feels when my dice are going to roll what I need and when it’s going to fail?
@JorisVDC3 жыл бұрын
It's called intuition. I have it too from time to time. Like, I really shouldn't make this GFI and I still do it because I have a TRR to spare and then snake eyes show up.

People who choose to play Blood Bowl (of all games) and then complain about dice rolls confuse me.
@JorisVDC3 жыл бұрын
That's just life. How many people complain is just an exponent of how little people are willing to take responsibility over their actions. Just blame something else, yet it robs you of the opportunity to grow.

Awesome vid as usual! Maybe we could also have a top 5 home rules? I dont think I’m the only one that keeps 2016 MVP rules lmao

Risk management doesn’t mean total risk avoidance. Push your luck (after safe moves and planning to fail). No guy no glory.

Definitely agree with the "It's just a game". I have multiple friends who will not play because of the RNG nature of the game and that is fine, not every game is for everyone. Also agree that winning fairly is better than unfairly. I have seen discussions before about people deliberately being annoying to put their opposition on tilt. That is not valid play imo, we are all there to have fun and if you rob someone of that then you are there for the wrong reasons.

I like how you bring up magic. Magic the gathering has rules lawyers too. Unlike bloodbowl, which is usually laid back.

+1 Str doesn't even seem worth it at +80K. +50K was fine, especially considering the extra skill points it's going to cost you to get it.
@JorisVDC3 жыл бұрын
You are right that 80k is really prohibitive. Yet there are some players who are worth it. Like a Blitzer-type of player going from STR 3 to 4. I would have liked to see a more reasonable pricing point, like 60k, but now you have to consider taking 80k TV is like giving a lineman with a good skill to the opponent for free. I would consider it on a developed player, who has the defensive skills. Like a Blodge-Step Werewolf, he would be awesome with a stat increase, with STR 4 he becomes a real powerhouse and there are no other skills or things that you can buy for your team to accomplish that.

# the law of more... and so I started a halfling team... Sry but this is a Bad rule inblood bowl, because in blood bowl it's the oposite. U want to increase the number of times, when your enemy had to Roll dice, but not it's quantity (and then this changed again, when we are talking about x dice up blocks) Blocking is a Big topic in blood bowl and normaly the law of more doesn't apply here. Jeah, u want your enemy to roll more often then you, because it increases their potential of failure but u don't want to give them choices. Do u want to pick up the Ball surounded by 3 enemies? Most times "no". Better secure the Ball in your own. Do u want to pick up the Ball directly? Most times no, and prefer to push Block the enemy into the ball's square instead. #accept failures: and so i started a halflingteam... And my personal tip: start a halfling Team! They are slow, they are Squishy, they were called the weakest Team in the game for a long time for a reason. But they are not Bad! They just teach the game more, but the hard way. They are more, or less the "darksouls Team" in blood bowl, because they prepare to die with each activation. They realy teach the game in the dark souls was and u start to calculate risks harder. Playing them u will expect nothing, but u will recieve so much! And here the law of more is applying to. The less u expect, the more glorious your non Mailing Moses will be. And when you return to a normal Team... weil... i bet your way to play the game will be improver.
