I agree. Denying kids treats just means they will get it elsewhere when you are not around. Either at school or a friends or somewhere. Treats can be a part of the diet.

For your deli meats, you would be best off checking on the deli section as they would be cheaper in the bulk section for the most part. You can also freeze and then pull it out and buy kgs on sale of the different meats you like. :)

I love the way you preach about not wasting food. I am constantly amazed and saddened when I see how much food so many people throw out all of the time. I volunteer one Sunday a month at a local homeless shelter, and many of us bring food. We feed between 50-100 people, and provide a main dish, a meatless dish, and so on. If people could see how many people in this country are starving, they would think twice before just tossing food that can be used in another way.

I currently have to shop at least twice per week for our family of 6 here in the US due to limits on so many things. I normally do a monthly big shop and then buy fruit and fresh veg on a smaller trip when needed. The limits are bad enough but we also get rude stares when trying to do a monthly shop here. You must have much kinder understanding people where you live! 💜 I enjoy watching your hauls!! ☺️

Here's a tip for you. l used to live in Arizona. I would take foam coolers with me to the supermarket and put frozen foods and ice cream in them. It worked wonders when it was 100 plus degrees out there! I still do it here in Missouri in the summer. Really helps keep that ice cream frozen!

The 500 ml smaller bottle of ketchup (tomato sauce) is just a convenience size, for easy use at the table and pouring, and is the most popular for purchasing, we do have it in 2 litre bottles aswell, 2 Australia litres equals US 67.62 fluid ounces

Cheese in the U.S.A. is light yellow also. The orange color cheese is dyed to be that color. For some odd reason the orange cheese is a regional favorite in some parts of the country.

Our cheese here in America has added turmeric for that orange color. I’m surprised that you have some things like we do here. We mostly have Mexican cookies that are really good that we like. It’s the sponges and orange flavored shortbread cookies. Like your hauls and you beautiful family. From Texas USA.

I cook up some big pieces of bola blade steak and when it cooks I let it cool completely refrigerate whole then the next day I can slice it up thinly for sandwhiches

I love a good lamington cake :) here in Scotland we call cordial diluting juice, my kids really like it. Jealous of your heat, it’s very cold here atm, even in summer it doesn’t get that warm for us 😂😂

We don't have a costco in town. I'd like to go have a look at one though. I am planning on getting there but between lockdowns, busy schedules and my cancer surgery, it's been put on hold for a bit. I will get there eventually though ;-)

I feel like you could save a lot more if you prep yourself, beef burgers, chicken shnitz, homemade pizza bases etc get the kids involved 😁 but totally get convenience!

I agree, I also think they could certainly make much healthier snack for the kids. Most of it was junk and processed foods. However, I also understand it’s not always possible. One step at a time and I’m sure they could get there with all the hands to help :)

It is funny the difference between some American foods vs Australian foods are! I find it very interesting! Some Australian products I wish we had here in America! Very nice haul. Those pizzas are same size as our Degourno and like others. They're not that big either 🤣🙂. In the Southern section of America,they are mainly called tater tots or taters.

Do you guys have sausages in the states? Another thing to note too is when you hear a British person say they're having Bangers and Mash, it's sausages and mashed potatoes Though they do call them sausages there too

@@angelika_munkastrap4634 yes we have sausages. We have breakfast sausage that is either loose like ground meat, patties or in links that tend to be about 3 to 4 inches in length. We also have kielbasa sausages. They are longer and thicker and are usually in a U shape when purchased. And then there is summer sausages. It is similar to a salami. It's flavored and smoked meat that's enjoyed with crackers and cheese.

Hi there! This was very interesting as a grocery haul and I thought money well spent you did well. I know you love Coles I usually split my home deliveries with Coles and Woolworths, delivered on different days though, makes it easier to put away..I sometimes wonder when, or if, Aldi will home deliver too. Good you had helpers with you and at home too with all those groceries much deeded help. Great video thanks for sharing ❤️

I think you did very good I had 1 cart the other day and it was 200 very little meat stocking up we still have very little snow in Wisconsin it has been in the 30s and foggy so the tree's have been beautiful we have 4 inches of snow and we should have prob 20 at least different winter for sure Bless and take care and stay safe

The white potatoes still have skin on them but have been washed clean. Brushed potatoes are brown and still have dirt on them. We normally steam the pumpkin or mash it and sometimes we will roast it

No they're not peeled, they're what's called Washed Potatoes, but the skin is still on them, it's just a type of potatoes where the skin is white, we also have Brushed Potatoes that still have a little dirt on them and then there's the full dirt covered ones that last longer. Most people prefer convenience more these days though

I live in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. When my family and ex was still here, for pizza night I had to buy 6 Little Ceasars pizzas for r people. I ate 2 slices and burried 2 more in the fridge for me. My Ex and 4 sons are 5 and a half pizzas by themselves. My ex would eat 1 whole and a half for 1 meal.

Do you ever try whole peeled tomatoes? I recently switched from diced to whole, after watching heaps of italian nonnas using them and recommending them on youtube. Honestly they are way better, not as watery and you just mush them up with a masher or your hand becauee they are super soft. I highly recommend you try them 👍🏽👍🏽😊

American cheddar comes in two colors...white and orange. Typically mild cheddars are orange whereas the more sharp and/or artisanal cheddars are white.
