By the way, you don’t have to look at Foxy’s camera in FNAF 1 to stall him. You have to look at any camera. This makes any challenge that limits your ability to focus on FNAF 1 easier, as the only camera you absolutely need to focus on is ones with Freddy (as Freddy does need to be looked at directly).

In FNAF 1 you do not need to specifically look at pirate cove to stop Foxy. Any camera usage will lock foxy. You could have just kept your camera on camera 4B the entire night for all nights, and with that the conditions that need to be met for Freedy to attack you are impossible to meet, since you are either looking at 4B, or are not in the cameras, which both stop Freddy from attacking. You cauld have made FNAF 1 a joke, but I see that you are already struggling on Night 4 because you didn't adhere to that strategy. Also in your Night 6 intro card you marked FNAF 1 Foxy as having an AI value of 6-8 when it is actually 16-18. Edit: Due to some misunderstandings, I am going to clarify that I am NOT saying that you should ALWAYS keep the cameras on. I AM saying that the ONLY necessary camera you should be watching is camera 4B, because watching 4B only, or not being in the cameras completely stops Freddy from ever being able to attack you for the entire night, and just occasionally flipping up the cameras for less than half a second engages Foxies lock down timer, which I have elaborated on in a reply in this thread.

If you have the camera open the entire night, not only does that meet the conditions for Bonnie and Chica to kill you, but you would not have enough power to beat the night. Checking the cove when he was playing normally was not to stall Foxy, but to see how far along Foxy was since holding the cameras up the entire night would just lead to the other characters killing him.

If you have the cameras up for the entire night Bonnie and chica will kill you. What he could have done differently though is keeping Freddy on the stage so that he doesn’t have to close the door every time to check foxy however that strategy only works on nights 1-6

@@RhettMueller *A TLDR is at the bottom of the post. Freddy can not enter your office if you are not using the cameras. Additionally, if Freddy is on camera 4B (the position where Freddy attacks from instead of showing up at the window), if you watch CAM 4B, Freddy also can not enter your office. My original comment discusses how using the cameras at all is what makes Foxy lock up, not specifically watching Pirates Cove. While the time that Foxy remains locked down after the camera is lowered ranges wildly from (with standard 60 frames per second) any single frame from around 0.8 seconds to 13 or 16 seconds (I do not remember the exact frame data), it is safe to assume that you can check the cameras every 5 or so seconds to completely lock foxy down, since even if Foxy's locked timer ends in under 5 seconds, the timer for his movement opportunity is still in cycles of 5 to 6 seconds or so and is separate from is lock down timer, and unlike Freddy, Foxies does not have a delay from a successful movement check to actually moving or advancing a stage closer to attacking. (Not that Freddy actually has any delay between moment opportunities and actually moving when he is at 10 AI or above, although that timer, even though it starts at zero frames of countdown, when paused doesn't allow him to move, which is why looking at CAM 4B stops him. Instead of automatically failing every movement check, the countdown for when he moves after a successful one is paused at 0 even though it literally has no time left to countdown from. When you are not in you camera, Freddy can never attack you, period, which is why watching CAM 4B is so powerful.) TLDR: Anyways, my point is that if you only ever watch CAM 4B when you are using the cameras, Freddy literally can never attack you period, as you are either not in the cameras, or you are watching 4B, which also stops him. Additionally, you only need to briefly flicker the cameras up and down every 5 seconds or so to stop Foxy, which means the only threats to him would be Bonnie or Chica, which can be seen and stopped at the door without using cameras, which makes FNAF1 much easier to manage. (Of course, this assumes you are not using a glitch like the Foxy death game freeze to cheese the game. What I described above is actually intended by Scott so I would not classify this camera stalling strat as an exploit.

Trying to prevent confusion by specifying) So, assuming we need to beat all 3 the way Scott intended, the best way to do it is: FNAF 1: To use 1 camera and never check Foxy, just hoping that you've stopped every movement opportunity (something seen only in the code, not something Scott would've expected people to look into at the time) by flipping the camera every few seconds since you never get to check, rather than using the in-game visible mechanic of a second camera which they tell you to check and a door for a couple seconds while doing so. FNAF 2: Having two other games open at the same time, something clearly not intended but you don't seem to find an issue with it. (I get that is the point of the challenge, but saying it needs fo be done the Scott-intended way is ignoring this pretty big part of the video) FNAF 3: Triggering a vent error intentionally and using the (highly likely) unintended cam stalling to prevent an animatronic who you have an entire other coded-in method of stalling (audio lures) that you are very clearly shown and told to use. Because if I was a game dev, I wouldnt want people to use the mechanics I carefully coded in, but rather exploit a hole in game design where you do one repetitive action repeatedly and ignore the majority of the gameplay. (Essentially, acting like the game was designed for min-maxxers to ignore half the mechanics) Oh wait, thats the FNAF 1 strategy: Ignore the mechanic of checking how far along Foxy is, and instead just time your movements to prevent a hidden number in the code used to make the game function (the movement opportunities) and make it get boiled down to extremely repetitive actions for 10 minutes. The games were designed, excluding FNAF 2 since the Music Box is so centralizing, to be played using more than 1 camera. Whether it be the vents in 3 or Cove in 1, Scott wanted you to look at it, otherwise he wouldn't directly tell you to look at them (Phone Guy says to check on Foxy and that cams stall him, which while people do take wrong, checking Foxy still tells you how far along he is). Again, the main thing I have a problem with you saying is just that it would make a difference for him to leave the camera on Freddy and just do those extremely tight flips (maybe not tight with just 1 game, but remember theres 2 more, including FNAF 3's cam stalling. And since you didnt mention it, if you think FNAF 3's is less of an exploit, let me remind you it ignores all the mechanics Scott coded in for players to use. Even if it is harder to pull off, it is still an exploit) to stop Foxy would be easier than just closing the door and checking Foxy occasionally. Nothing against you personally, I dont want to fight about it or anything, just saying that I dont think your strategy would have worked as well while needing to balance playing the other two games, especially if 3's exploit was still being done in the same way. I hope this clarifies more what I meant in my other comment, and I wish you the best.
