Speaking of Licor 43, my family and I recently found a handwritten note in my grandfather's attic that featured one cocktail. This is the original content of the note. Medio ochavillo cerveza (approximately 35ml of beer, probably a home-made or any craft beer) Partes iguales Licor 43 (35 ml Liquor 43) y tónica (35 ml tonic) Cuarto ochavillo zumo de limón (around 18ml lemon juice). Vaso con hielo, echar todo, la tónica lo último y mezclar ( a glass with ice and pour everything in, top with tonic and stir) There were no garnish instructions and no glass type, so I leave them to your choice. It didn't have any name but I'd call it 'Recuerdos de ayer' (yesteryear's memories) in the memory of my grandfather. PS: We didn't taste it yet, we don't know if it went well or not. Thanks for doing these videos, keep it up!

The Autumn Delight and After Dinner Sazerac sound great. Definitely have to find a way to try them. Might just have to convince my fiancé to stop in when we're there (whenever that ends up being. Hopefully in the next couple years). Funny how it seems most of our site seeing includes train stations (Kings Cross 'cause I'm a crazy HP fan) and different bars or restaurants we've found online, haha. Anywho. Can't wait to see your next video since I've worked through all your old ones :) Also, the bloopers are hilarious. Love them. ^.^

Here in San Diego, CA, a new rum called Brugul’s hit the market. Every bar is having a big-D contest over who can make the best drink with it. It’s a Puerto Rican rum, bourbon casked then sherry casked.

Hi there! Been watching your videos since I discovered the channel last year. I'm trying to learn a few cocktails myself, currently buying some stuff to mix. At the moment I only have: bourbon, scotch, vermouth (dry and sweet), campari and angostura. Do you mind telling me some recipes I could do with only theese ingredients and also what else would you recommend getting for someone who is trying to learn some basic, easy and tasty whisky drinks? Keep up with the great job, man!

Great cocktails, thank you! Kinda missed the Nikka from the Barrel though (it’s on the thumbnail). You may consider the Improved Japanese Cocktail. I had this one in the Le Lion Bar in Hamburg, was amazing: 70 ml Nikka From the Barrel 5 ml Orgeat 1 Dash Bitters

Ok, so if dumping the rinse is sad, what about not rinsing and just using like 2.5-5 mil off a cocktail spoon. Would that work? And be less sad?
@eberbacher0076 жыл бұрын
He was just using way too much, whe I rinse I use a fraction of it. Sure it takes a bit longer to rinse but I don´t have to dump a ton
@KarolaTea6 жыл бұрын
Or save the rinsing liqueur in a separate container for later (probably better sooner) use. Maybe not in a professional setting, hygiene might complain about that, but certainly in private.
@TomBelgium20006 жыл бұрын
Can use a little spray bottle for the liqueur, we used it for absinthe when making a Sazerac. Plus that cocktail is more a little twist on an old fashioned tbh.

A Sazerac without Peychaud’s bitters? Angostura? Really? I wouldn’t mind trying the coffee liqueur rinse in a standard Saz using rye because I’m not a fan of a strong anise/black licorice flavor and never use absinthe at home. Anyone try a coffee liqueur rinse with a rye Saz? How was it?
@renselcabrera86146 жыл бұрын
why don't you put actual bar spoon in the mixing glass when stirring?
