Your right Mike, a proper send off. The way it should be for dedicated truckers. Great video, thanks.

Great to see Michael Cardillo out there taking care of the companies equipment, not just a 3rd generation heir sitting back sucking up the company royalties. Cardillo is one hell of a family company!

Great video Mike. I laughed at the kicking tires with flip flops comment near the beginning. I used to be leased on to a tanker company and I never saw drivers walk passed landing gear, hook up, roll up legs and ride. New breed I guess. Stay safe

That’s funny you say that Mike both truck and my car in the winter I’m always looking at the temp gauge the old R model Mack doesn’t have a temperature gauge so I glued a gauge on to the butterfly window 😂 😂

These companies don’t care about fixing anything. Its the drivers problem.Worked for a cryrogenic company hauling liquid nitrogen and oxygen that I wrote stuff up and the manager put a map in my box of there repair places and expected me to take it on my only day off for free. That was my last day there and I sent it to corporate with a note about why I quit.Needless to say within 30 days that terminal was closed.

Drivers do a pre trip and post trip for their CDL test and then that’s it. I prefer doing live loads and unloads as I get to keep a decent trailer. I will stroll around and check out our trailers in yards and send in work orders via the tablet. Costs a few minutes but will save another driver down the road. I’ll pump up a tire or get it back on the bead rather that just OOS it. Trailers sit and then a yard jockey grabs it and turns the tire off the bead but it only takes a few minutes to get it right back on. Some of these mouth breathers won’t even sweep out a trailer and they are not all “New “ drivers either but veteran drivers who just don’t care anymore. Happy birthday Mike and what a send off with all that fancy iron.

Sounds like you got it right, there's a difference between drivers who take pride in their work and those who don't.
