A tip for Xiaomi products: both tablets and phone have at least a Chinese and a Global version, you got the Chinese one, as the Global is yet to be launched later this year. However, the Global version will have Google Play, multi-language and etc. Usually the global version of their devices launches in Europe some months after the chinese launch. Hope it helps

The 256 version doesn't look like it will reach western market. The mi pad 5 didn't have a SD card either. You can always get a SD card reader. But I agree it's ashame the 256 variant won't be available in west officially.

Finally. Someone who reviews the thing that's most important for me. The styluses for the pads. I don't draw. But I have been a heavy s-pen user sense I fell in love with using a pen on the phone with my Samsung Note 9. I can't live without it anymore. I game with it. Surf with it. I don't write but I navigate pretty much everywhere with the pen instead of my fingers. Thank you for such a good review over this and many other styluses!

I used a Surface Pro 4 with SketchBook (free drawing app) and it worked great: same as using a tablet. I don't know what program you used but I know many people that draw on Windows like to use Photoshop which is not made for drawing (too laggy, too many tools centered around photography and not on drawing).

To properly gauge "pen wobble" its standard to use a ruler with the pen, much more reliable input will be given. Hands are shaky "organic" things, so unrecommended for proper review. Personally, I've never been able to make straight lines on a glass surface, only paper. I see this problem in many tablet reviews. Aside from that, your channel is perfect! Keep up the awesome reviews.

It’s now available in Europe, I think it’s called the global version, but it’s €399 here, for the base model, a considerable price bump and for that amount there are other options available, like the Lenovo new Tab P11 and new Tab M10+ models, both with pen support. Don’t think you ever reviewed a Lenovo Android tablet, have you? They are overlooked by many KZbin reviewers, but are surprisingly good.

It's €399 with the pen included from the Xiaomi DE site, so it's not really more expensive than the older one. The Lenovos are both a lot weaker. If you mean the Tab P11 Pro, that's almost €500

already bought one, currently watching this on my mi pad 6. the display is wonderful enough for watching any movies or videos. Love how xiaomi design their tab to look premium despite their quite affordable price. I have been a Xiaomi fan since 2020 when i first bought my Xiaomi smartphone,now using a new phone but still a Xiaomi brand lol just love how XIAOMI products give u the best quality at the great price. Update : Ive been using this tablet for nearly 4 months and mainly using it for study purpose like Google Docs, Microsoft, Canva and taking notes using Jnotes. So far what I can say is this tab is so freaking useful in helping me studying. Seriously my life saver in saving paper. As for the Xiaomi pen it is great it doesnt feel unfamilliar at all it does feel u use a pen but ofc not deff 100 same with real pen.

The battery for me is pretty long lasting for a mid-heavy use, but the thing tht i love the most is its fast charging feature. It charges very fast

And it to make it more interesting, it would be good to see how would they compare to normal ipads (non laminated) as well as including different apps in the tests. I have been watching your videos for a while and I think the only thing I miss is the comparison across different products such as rating line smoothness and screen brightness or resolution across all types of drawing medium that you get and review. I think this way a person can pick between two different tablet types or brands or if two tablets are needed for different use cases it would help which ones to pick. You mentioned in one of your reviews that tablets like Samsung and Apple provide better quality for drawing than display tablets overall so I want to see more on that.

03:06 If you have 50MP camera then you are reviewing Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro and not basic version 6. I don't know if it's just mistake but yeah it's not quite the same tablet as it's more powerful and little bit more pricey but still great tablet for it's price.

Just for the Chinese versions imported. Global version in my country is around 450$ and that's too expensive.. Chinese ROMs also don't have widevine L1 which means no HD in streaming such as netflix.

Xiaomi products tend to have an excellent feel about them for the price.I still use a mi 10t lite phone as a back up.The problem is their apps tend to be full of ads and I am a ad hater,but thats probably how they keep the prices down while maintaining quality...also the battery in the model I have run out fairly quick.

The only concerning thing about xiaomi products for me is that internal issues arises after 2-3 years of use and the devices starts to lag. I'm using a Samsung galaxy s8 for 6years and still able to play games smoothly

Great video, thank you so much! Did you try Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.5"? It's almost the same as Xiaomi Pad 6 you reviewed. It's production date was much after regular Pro 5, it has almost the same specs as Pad 6. It's made for Chinese market only. I'm in EU, I ordered it from one distributor who ships to EU without import tax, tablet without stylus I've paid us$358 (e323) for 6/128GB as the final price with shipping and using some coupons. Hey Brad,I am from India....would be really really grateful if u provide me some suggestions.Buying an iPad air or Pro will be very difficult for me at this time since they are quite expensive...The Xiaomi Pad 6 is within my budget.My concern is almost all the digital artists I have spoken to use Procreate on an iPad to paint and most of the tutorials and courses on the web are centered around Procreate..but since Pad 6 is Android it won't have Procreate so will it be possible to create great art...especially portraits like people do on Procreate using some alternative like say Hi Paint? Or shall I break the bank and go for an iPad anyway ( this will cause other problems)...pls suggest

If the xiaomi pad costs 300 usd, then the base model ipad also costs around the same at 329 usd. The xiaomi tab will cost lesser but will lose software updates in the future. Unless you're a heavy artist, the base model ipad will do with the apple pencil. The experience is smoother. No hiccups at all on the ipad. Plus resale value is high too so you might want to consider. Do some more research before choosing a tablet.

@@zaheerahamed7545 Hi...thanks for replying,not sure about US prices but in India the prices are as below iPad (9th gen 256 gb)-56000 inr iPad(10th gen 256 gb)-66000 inr Ipad air m1 cheap-81000 inr Not even going into iPad pro Prices are including the apple pencil and after applying apple student discount The Xiaomi pad 6 + pencil will cost approx 28000 inr INR- Indian national rupee ( our currency) So u see there is a huge diff ,hence my inclination....what do u say?

Same i am confused between Xiaomi pad 6 and Samsung tab s8 both have price difference of 10 to 15k now on sale the xiaomi pad 6+pen costs total of 36k and the s8 is costing around 45 to 50k through my student account

Lines still squiggly. I think it's impossible for the tablet industry to deliver good drawing experience unless they partnered with drawing tablet companies for their pen technology. Just like in convertible laptop market, asus tried to launch expensive convertible laptop but the drawing experience is clearly worse than lenovo's cheaper laptop with wacom tech. Samsung also partnered with wacom for their pen, thats explains the quality in samsung tab pens

Yeah, I used Hi paint to show that there is some squiggle to the lines still. I started out using Clip studio and in there I was getting really really nice lines.

I got global version, it's cheap but customisation and media consumption and some of the features which is more helpful ,i personally recommend this,u r gonna addicted that for sure and not having problems in budget wise

The only thing holding me back from buying this tablet is the software support. Xiaomi only promised 2 years of security updates and hasn't said anything on OS updates so i'm gonna assume it's 2 years too and that's pathetic. Xiaomi in general has poor software that feels sluggish over the period of time (mostly because of the heavy skin). They also don't provide security updates regularly for their mid range devices , it's once in 6 months .

The global version will get two years OS and four years of security updates. Not great but for many enough. I suspect that as they are using the SD870 they are limited as to what they can offer as most SD870 will stop getting OD updates in the next year or so.

The reason Xiaomi products are usually cheaper than other brands is because they display ads within their OS.
