The first Swamp Thing costume in the original movie was more like something from an old 1950's black and white sci fi movie. This one is a huge improvement. He looks like he stepped right off the comic strip and is ready to put his green foot up someone's ass.

The Return of Swamp Thing was cheesy fun and it even spawned a darker TV series on USA Network back in the early 1990s, it was pretty good. The tagline was always: "Do not bring your evil here."

How people can hate this movie is beyond me. It's such a gloriously cheesy fun superhero romp that you can't help but smile when Swamp Thing is kicking ass. I know the comic is generally pretty dark, but RoST is just SO MUCH FUN! :D Not to mention the practical effects and costumes are awesome.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see so many in this comment section who grew up with this movie as well and appreciate it for what it is. With cheesiness there's always also a certain charm. If you watch this movie willing to cut it some slack I think it offers a lot to smile at. Like what a hero Swamp Thing is throughout it. Or how great the make up effects are. Or how fun the characters are.

I really enjoyed the return of swamp thing. I watched it only because of Heather Locklear as I had not enjkoyed the first. I couldn't believe how much more enjoying the second film was and apart from the set and two characters I couldn't really see how the films were really related.

Yes. He played Kamal Khan, who is technically the secondary villain under General Orlov (Steven Berkoff) but like General Koskov in 'Living Daylights' is the one Bond spends most of his time actually fighting, hence making him the movie's main antagonist. However, as great as the now late great Jourdan was in the movie, he had a long and distinguished career in movies, European and Hollywood, including musicals, and he was a sex symbol in his youth. My sister still has a photo of him from around 1962 in her house for about 20 years now. However he did not take himself too seriously, and he played the role in both movies with fun and gusto (and not just slummed it for a paycheck)
